Hang in there. Slow and steady wins the race. Don't compare yourself to others we are all different creatures.

What would you do re: Family Reunion?
panfisher replied to Mommy2Ps's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I would go. I felt fine 3 days out. As far as the food goes you are going to have to learn to deal with it. Even if you were six months out you would have to deal with all the desserts and stuff there. Even with full restriction that stuff goes down easy. -
Hi Outside Looking In I have 6.9 cc's in my band and I don't feel like I have hit my sweet spot yet either. It looks like you are doing pretty good though. 31 lbs in 18 weeks is right on pace. The only suggestion I might have is to change your type of exercise. I know I have to change about every six weeks. My body starts getting use to the exercise I am doing and my weight lose slows. Hope that helps keep up the good work.

Had my fourth fill yesterday. Hope this is my sweet spot. I now have 6.2 cc in a 14 cc band. I do cardio every day. I'm going to start strength training tomorrow. Good luck to everybody.

Hello Richardson I was banded 2/23/10. I eat 4 oz of lean protein 2 oz of veggies and 2 oz of fruit at every meal. I don't have snacks. I try to follow my weight loss centers rules as close as I can. I do have a slip up every now and then. But I don't dwell on it I just get back on track. I really don't think I have much restriction. I'm told that every ones fill amount is different. I'm not at my sweet spot yet. I'm going on pure will power. I exercise 2 hours a day every day. One hour before work and one hour after work. Some days I don't have time to exercise the full two hours but I make sure I get in some exercise. Richardson please don't compare your weight loss to mine. I am a man and have a lot more weight to lose than you, both of those factors make me lose weight faster than you. 7 pounds in 7 weeks you are almost right were you are suppose to be 1-2 lbs a week. Keep working your tool and I'm sure that scale will start to move for you.

I walked 2 miles day after surgery. Was on my stationary bike after 3 days. Back in the pool after 7 days. Only restriction I had was that I could not lift anything over 25 lbs. Yes I believe you could be playing within a week. Banded 3/23/10 Weight 427 Current weight 336 -

Hello Everybody I'm having a tough time. I have not found my sweet spot yet. I'm still losing but it is sheer will power now. I'm afraid my will power is waning. Can't get another fill until 4/22 Man I'm hungry!!

Hello all Got my first fill 3/25 I feel a little restriction. I'm going to need another fill that is for sure. Wish I could have another fill right now, but my doctor makes you wait 2 weeks between fills. I have lost 76 lbs since starting this journey. I love how much energy I have now. Yesterday my day off I walked 2.5 miles then did 4 hours of yard work. This time last year I couldn't walk a 1/4 mile without seating done and resting. Everybody keep up the good work.

Hello everybody It has been a bad week for me. I ended up with a urinary tract infection from the Foley catheter that was used during surgery. The infection has zapped all my energy so my exercise has come to a halt along with the scales. I have only lost a half of a pound in 5 days. I’m only eating 900 calories a day. I’m taking my antibiotics and starting to feel better. I’m sure the scale will start moving once I get back to exercising.
-
Hang in there Patsal that scale will start to move. All you have to do is follow your diet and exercise. That first fill is right around the corner. You are going to make it. Keep up the good work.

Had my first post op appointment yesterday, everything went fine. I was down another 6 lbs from surgery weight. Got cleared to go back work Monday night. Only one problem I caught a bug or something. Woke up in the middle of the night freezing and had a headache and body aches. I had a low grade fever of 99.9. Took some Tylenol and my fever broke. Still have this headache though. I have to see the company Doctor today maybe I can get him to write me a prescription.

I'm doing great have no pain at all. I'm riding my stationary bike 35 minutes and walking 2 miles a day. Never thought I would say this I'm ready to go back to work. Starting to get a little bored. Me being a guy I don't worry about the scars from the incisions. I will wear them like badges of honor.LOL I have my first post-op appointment tomorrow. Hope everybody else is doing good.

Help! How do you use your tool? Feedback needed, please
panfisher replied to atgoalgal's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I'm early in this journey. So I don't know if my answers carry a lot value. 1) Which of the things I've learned about how to use my tool work for you? I have a plan. I also started journaling when I started this journey. 2) Which don't work for you? I stay close to my lapband Nurse and my Dietiatican. I only see my surgeon if I'm having a healh issue. 3) Is there anything on this list that your surgeon would object to?No -
My surgeon nurse said I could wear jeans when ever it felt comfortable to me. I'm 5 days post-op and I started wearing jeans at day 3
