My name is Monica, I have been overweight my entire life.  I really don't have a problem losing weight, I just have a tendency to gain back more than I lost.  My mother on the other hand is very thin and always has been.  She is also my very best friend in the world but she is not real good at talking to me about my weight, she has pretty much ignored it.  Well one day she called me and she got to talking about a friend of her who had lapband and how much weight they had lost and I of course said I would love to do something like that but my insurance won't cover it and I just can't afford it and she said what If  I paid for it for you and I am telling you that the bells in heaven started to ring in my head, I couldn't even answer her.  I told her I would have to think about it and that night I emailed her and told her what I just told you and now I am scheduled to have surgery on November 9th.  I never thought I would lose the weight and now it is actually an attainable goal and sometimes it is almost too much for me to take in.  So that is my story so far.  Surgery in a week and my mom is my hero....she is just about to give life to me a second time.  So mom if you ever read this I love you so much.  You too dad.
