  1. Happy 47th Birthday feliciaj!

  2. 2 years has passed since you registered at LapBandTalk! Happy 2nd Anniversary feliciaj!

  3. taco soup

    1 can diced tomatoes

    1 can pinto beans

    1 can kidney beans

    1 can black beans

1 can hominy, if you want it!

    1 lb ground beef

1 pkg dry ranch dressing mix (not the dip kind or buttermilk kind!)

    1 pkg taco seasoning

    1 onion chopped

    1 can green chiles

brown ground beef, drain. dump all of the cans in, without draining. Add seasoning packets. Cook for about 45 minutes, so flavors blend. It will be thick but you can add water to it if you want.

Theresalot of protein in this, and I think it would be if you blend it!

  4. I was banded 10.28.09.. It was great in the beginning I could barely eat a half can of soup. (you know the REAL serving size) of course as I healed my appetite grew. I am scheduled for my first fill 11/30/09. (the Dr wanted to wait until after Thanksgiving) I am almost 4 weeks post op, still only eating soft foods, mashed potatoes, sugar free pudding, eggs, skim milk, ground turkey. This weekend I am always starving and I hate it! I also have to urinate way more than usual. I am not drinking anymore than usual. WTH? I hope my band is ok,,,,anyone ever have this problem?

    Will i miss food?

I felt the exact same way! My surgery was 10.28.09. 10 days later, I can tell you that I don't long for food like I used too. I am still on soft foods, but it is more than enough. I myself can't believe I get full on 5-6oz of soup. Even those annoying food commercials aren't affecting me. When they took me for xrays post-op, they wheeled me right past Subway,(yes Subway is in the hospital lol) they were baking the bread. FOr the first time, I could care less. Didn't phase me at all.
