I have always struggled with my weight. I have lost over a hundred pounds at one time. And regained it and more over a ten year period. When I finally reached a three hundred pound mark I knew it was time for additional help. I wanted to live a bit longer than the expected life span for a morbidly obese person. So I decided to attend a seminar about the lap band. I had heard about it and was impressed with the least non invasive bariatric surgery on the market in the USA. So after the seminar I was convinced this was for me. It was a tool to help your body know when to say no. It took me less than four months to the complete all the necessary steps for my surgery to happen. It has happened on Oct twenty eighth . I went in weighing 274. And I am now on my third day of recovery. It hasn't been that bad.Fear of the unknown is the biggest issue along with a bit of post surgery gas.But I know from several lap banders that there is a rainbow on the other side. I now can look forward to feeling good. Walking without pain. Buying clothes in the regular women's departments. And most of all retrieving my over all health. I am so excited about my new journey.
