I have been overweight all my life. I can't remember a time where I wasn't overweight. I became active in high school but I only got down to 168. I have never been less than that. As I got married and had children my weight stayed around 190. I never had any health problems and was always on the go but I hovered around 190. As I hit 40 I started gaining. I was diagnosed with a sluggish thyroid and then diabetes and now high blood pressure. I walk 4 miles a day, I ride my bike everywhere but I am still FAT. I recently started another diet and went from 228 to 210. I have been still walking and riding my bike but it's my health problems that I have an issue with. I have been researching lap band and gastric bypass for a year now. I have decided on the lap band procedure but am still a bit hesitant because my eating habits are not the best. I had heard alot about this site and decided I need to find people like me who are going through this or gone through it. As of today my surgery date has not yet been set. So I am hear for the support and for more information.
