It has taken a long time to decide this is what I need to do. I went to an informational siminar a month ago. From that I scheduled my consultation. That was today... The dr's I have chosen will only operate up to a certain weight and bmi. I am over that by 50 pounds. Do I work my ass off over the next several months to loose the weight to get the band. I don't know if I can loose that much on my own. OR go to a different dr in the next state that will do it at my current weight. Any suggestions would greatly appreciated. Thanks, Jen~

I am at the very beginning of this journey...learning and asking questions. I have an appointment for a lapband siminar with the possible surgeon next week. We will see...and decide from there.

I am excited for you.
I have thought about it several times over the past few years. My dr finally said..look you gotta do something. So I am now in the process of learning more about it and stuff. I am pretty much decided I'm going for it. I have my first meeting with the surgeon and his staff a week from Thursday. I, too , am ready to start a new life. -
Thanks so much, Im very excited, not so much nervouse anymore...Ive been waiting 9 years for this band and now im finally getting it... I cant wait to start my new life . Thanks again! 6 more days..surgery is schueduled for 11am on Nov 9 ,09!!
