Blogs are pretty easy. I'd recommend LiveJournal and WordPress above other platforms you can use, but a lot of people love Blogger and Tumblr. The great thing about ALL of these is that they're pretty easy to set up and use. Since you've been able to customize LBT to your needs, I'd say that it would be an easy transition for you
