My name is Lois, I live in Sulphur, Louisiana. I have been heavy pretty much all my life. I have been able to keep my weight the same sense my daughter was born 17 years ago. Last year, I got sick and couldn't exercise. At that point, I put on 40 extra pounds which threw me into the 100lbs over weight. I was already heavy but exercised daily and even joined a bootcamp; that almost killed me. lol. My goal in life is to be fit and healthy but, I can't do it on my own. I always thought I couldn't but, I realize now that I can't. I really need that extra help. Putting on that extra weight is making my knees hurt, I have problems breathing when going up stairs, and most of all, I can't play fight with my kids anymore. I hurt all over my body and when I stand up from a seated position, I lemp because my knees hurt. I don't want to live this way anymore. I talked with my husnad about it and he supports me in anything I decide to do so I made an apt with Dr. Keith Chung in Lake Charles, LA. I met with him on the 26th of October 2009 and he was just great. I go for my phyc eval on Nevember 4th. I have been in a weight loss program for 3 months already so I don't have to go through that . I am really excited about this and hope the insurance approves it. I have seen some really nice before and after pictures online; seems like a great procedure. can't wait.  I will update more as things progress.
