I have struggled with my weight since Jr High School.  As many of you probably have, I tried every diet in the book.  I was successful, but eventually all the weight came back.  So here I am at 55 with a 3 year old granddaughter and I finally said enough is enough.  I want to not have to struglle any more.  I want to be able to play with my little one and feel good about myself.  I carry my weight very good, so few people realize how heavy I have become.  However, I know how heavy I am and I am tired of it.  So I scraped up the $$ and made the decision to have the surgery--since my insurance said I did not need it!!I have several friends who have had the surgery.  Some here in the states and some in Mexico.  All have positive comments about the whole process.  I am so excited that I am having a hard time waiting until next week.  Since I visited the Dr I have lost approx 15 lbs and am lkooking forward to even more coming off.My family is very unsure of my decision, but I remind them that this is for me not them!!  I am divorced, so who knows--I might find a special someone along the way.....Linda
