I am 44 years old and have had 4 knee surgeries (2 on each knee); high blood pressure, I have sleep apnea; cardiac ablation and am overweight. On meds to regulate my heart rate. When going for a check up to my cardiologist he told me I had to lose the weight to get my heart under contol. He actually walked me over to his receptionist and told her to make me an appointment to see one of the Lap Band surgeons with Tri-State Weight Loss Program. Of course I told him I'm wealthy and don't know if I can afford it. He told me to just have a consult and go from there. Well after the consult and telling the dr. everything that was wrong with me. I signed up for the pre-surgery classes and was approved on the first go around. My start weight was 228 and I had surgery on 8/26/09. I have since then lost a total of 36 lbs and currently weight 192.
