I had my surgery on May 13,2009 and it was in Richardson ,Texas ..... We went up on a Tuesday and I went into surgery on Wednesday and I stayed that the Raddison Hotel for two days and it was at the expenise of the DR. Marsden .... I was in and out of surgery in 5 hours .... I went in on May 13th and I seen Dr. Marsden before the surgery and he said that everything looked good and it was a go .... The nurse came and put the IV in my arm and then I was giving the knock out medicine and before I went in to surgery Dr.Marsden came out and seen me and told me that he would see me back there ...and I remember being rolled back to where the surgery was going to be performed at and that was it .... I was out ... and when I came too I was in recovery ... and my husband was standing there next to me .... I was sore for a couple of days and I was black and blue from the bruises but that was because of the surgery ... Before I had the surgery I weighted 239 pounds and I had diabities too. now that I have had the surgery and am loosing the weight I am no longer a diabetic and I can walk without feeling tired and no enegry .... I enjoy having my grandbaby around and I can run and play with her without having to stop and rest now ...I feel and look good ....I can still eat the foods that I like ... I just have to eat them in small amounts . I love to eat whole wheat breads and I make them myself .... I don't miss the old me I love the new me and its just gonna keep getting better ....My life has changed since I have had this lapband done ... My husband is more loving and caring than before .... and yes my daughter can put her little arms all the way around me now , and she couldn't before ...and that is a good feeling ....
