I had 3 kids in 3 years 12 years before I decided to get lapband. It was much needed, I weighed 245 lbs at 5'5" and was very unhappy with my appearance. I had the surgery and went home the same day. Recovery was painful but I made it through. I am over 1 year post op and have only lost 25 pounds! I have not been able to find the "sweet spot" yet. I have had fills and have had to go back and get some out 3 different times. Each time I was not able to get water down and had to resort to desperate measures! Each time, my surgeon was there for me without complaint. Now, I am not able to eat while I am seated. If I stand, I am able to eat more than the amount I think is appropriate. I have 4.9cc in my band. I am not a success story......YET.
