I am 60 years old and have fought with my weight all my life.  I have been on every concievable diet.  I have seen what both surgeries can do for people and how they change their lives.  I am in the process of deciding on either Lap band or gastric - my surgeon suggests gastric but I am not sure that I want to go that drastic.  Then on the other hand I don't know if I have the control to work with the lap band.  Also, I am questioning myself as to why I can't overcome this weight problem on my own.  Anyway, I have been thru all of the testing and going for my 2nd nutrition visit shortly. That is my story.
