I am trying to get some testimonials of weight loss and some information about the things you have to go through before the lap band surgery. I am in the process of trying to get approved and I would like to figure out my chances of actually gettin the go ahead. So far, my doctor sent in a request for the surgery in which I was denied because I hadn't been with the medical insurance for over a year, I had to prove I had 6mnths of any weight loss program, bmi of 35 or greater with an underlying health condition, or a bmi of 40 and over with no underlying health condition. My medical insurence is from bcbs blue advantage. Thank god I have been visiting a weight doctor for over 4 years that was documented. Now I am trying to get approved again. I have a bmi of 36, 2 doctors approval, 4 years of records, no underlying health conditions. Can anyone tell me if they believe I will get a yes?
