Well I ended up being down 5.8 pounds for the Easter challenge, so I was happy about that. Especially since I gained weight after starting the challenge. Mary good luck with your doctor...I hope all is well. Please keep us updated.

Sonia I think you should try a fill to help you get over your plateau. My last 2 fills have helped a lot and I'm finally losing again. Plus like you said, you can always get some taken out if it's too much. Use your band girl!

Jim you crack me up!! Just when you think you know someone... Just kidding! I love that dressed up in your wife's clothes just for her entertainment. That's love! And congrats on making you way past 270! You are doing awesome! Sonia: how long does your doc put you on liquids after a fill? How far away is your walk?

Bobbi don't be scared of real food! I remember I was a little timid at first, but I was SO ready to eat real, solid food. I think I had Mexican food for my first solid meal. I had NO restriction at first. It's taken me about 5 months to get proper restriction and I still haven't had a PB. If you are careful you should be fine. Just remember to chew A LOT and take small breaks in between bites. You can get a ticker at www.tickerfactory.com and this post will tell you how to get it in your signature. http://www.lapbandtalk.com/get-ticker-your-t16218.html

You're welcome Raynie! Right now I'm wearing 16s in jeans and most pants. I have huge hips and my waist is 2 sizes smaller than my bottom! So I can wear a size 12 skirt because it fits my waist and doesn't have to fit in my big ass. Sizes are weird too...they vary so much from store to store.

Welcome to our thread Bobbi! Let us know if you have any questions.

Hey everyone...been WAY busy so I haven't checked in much this week! Jim you're crazy betting my paycheck...not much there to bet! Raynie I doubt tanning will hurt your band, but it isn't good for YOU. I have to give everyone a hard time because I had basal cell skin cancer when I was 22 on my back and my mom had melanoma a few years ago. So that's my lesson for today. I've been working really hard since March 12 to get back into a routine, eat better, work out. I started out on March 12 at 192.8 (which is 3 pounds higher than I weighed when we began the Easter challenge) and today I weighed in at 184.0! Almost 10 pounds...maybe by Easter. But even if I don't make it to 182 I'm still proud of what I've done. Raynie to fix your ticker you have to go back to tickerfactory.com and edit your numbers. The same thing happened to me. Oh and I weighed about 220 when I wore a 20 and about 200 when I went down to an 18. I'm really short though...only 5'1" so it might be different if you're taller.

I hope to see you there Ashlee! Anyone else going?

Memorial Day IS the next holdiay...I can't believe this year is going so fast! Losingjusme you are SO close to onederland!! I am so proud of you. Raynie that sucks that your "friend" threw her weight loss in your face like that. Not cool.
-
Awesome Sonia and Chrispy!! I'm pretty much the same as last week, up .2. One more week until Easter! We'l have to think of a new challenge!

FYI: I found out the SV Surgical support group is actually on April 4 at 7 pm.

Hi Jason! I'm sorry to hear about your struggles. Can you eat Beans? They have some Protein and get pretty mushy. I eat chili a lot. How about fish like tuna or salmon? You should be able to keep down solid protein...do you think you might be filled too tight? We have a thread for those banded in Ocotber. You should come and say hi! http://www.lapbandtalk.com/october-bandsters-t23737.html

I have no trouble with popcorn. I usually eat it once a week or so. Some people do have problems with it...so just start out slowly to see how well you tolerate it.
-
Raynie I had to go and edit my ticker to make it show up again... Good to see you Elie!!

Ashlee: I think the next meeting is April 11...but I haven't gotten an e-mail from Vivienne about it yet. I'm going in for a fill on April 2 too! My appt is at 1:30. My March exercise challenge is just something I do with myself...but you're welcome to join me. I try to get in 15 thirty minute exercise sessions each month. Sometimes I go over, sometimes I don't quite make it. Karen: I'm glad your dad is doing better. It sounds like you and your family are under a lot of stress dealing with everything. I hope your mom's test turn out ok...Alzheimers is so difficult. Keep us updated! Becky: You crack me up with your Hannibal Lector/Dr. Muse reference!

Sonia you snack on crack??? Ha ha!!

Karen how is your dad doing??

Hi Ash...I do go to the support groups and they are ok. I like the medical part with Colleen and Jen the nutritionist the best. Honestly, I get more support and info online. However, it's so nice to meet people in person and have a local connection. My insurance paid for my surgery so I didn't even know there was an option as far chosing to go to the group or not. I thought it was available to everyone. If I had to choose, I would choose to go to the group though.

Hey everyone...I have been SO busy at work the last few days. I'm tired! And I haven't been able to check in here too often. Raynie I'm sorry to hear about your weight gain. Is it due to your TOM? I always gain 3-4 pounds right around then...I think it's water retention. Are you drinking enough water? I find I lose more consistently and feel better if I make sure to get at least 80 oz of water in. Not sure about the Muscle Milk, except that it does have lots of calories. Maybe try the MM light... Threebeauties!! You have been gone for along time! Aren't plateaus a bitch?? I didn't lose ANYTHING for 5 straight weeks and it's SO frustrating! Do you think you might need another fill? And I love Lia Sophia stuff! I'm going to a part on Thursday in fact. Yay Jimboss is back!!! You really were missed! Congrats on your new house...I would love to see pics! Where has Sonia been...

I've heard prune juice mixed with apple or orange juice does the trick...but I've never personally tried it. Good luck!
