i was referred by my primary care dr.  to KU med center for weight loss surgery.  I know alot of people who have done it.  I read up on it.  talked to a couple of people who have done it.  I went to a infomation session and it was very informative.  that was around the first of october(2009).  I have schedualed my nutrition consult and my psych consult the following week.  So now all i have to do is go to 2 support group meetings which are coming up soon and then i can make an appt with the dr.  This entire process is going right along pretty easy.  I expect my insurance will approve it with no problems.  I am 5'2" and weight about 215-220 depending on the day.  so i'm right around the 40bmi that is required.  I also have hypertension.  So we will see what happens in the days that follow.
