how do you have enough fiber

I put benefibre single packets in my water which makes it just like drinking crystal lite. I also have bought the all bran buds in single packets and put that in my yogurt and/or porridge. makes the yogurt nice a crunchy. I also eat raisins. I used to have bowels every day and now it is about every 3 days.

    New, From Ontario Canada

You can put it through on your income tax and you will get some of a rebate. The clinic that I went to did offer a 4 year finance program. I don't know if that helps any.
  3. I am in Keswick, just 40 minutes south of Barrie and we have started up a monthly coffee meet and greet. Contact me if you are interested. We all have the band. There is also a monthly luncheon and the next one is Feb 27 at the Pickle Barrel at the Yorkdale Mall. You are more than welcome to come, let me know.

    Any November 2009 Bandsters??

I had nothing or the runs during the fluid stage. You have to remember you are not taking in any solids or waste so bowels will be different. Even on solids, I am not passing every day like I used to.

    Any November 2009 Bandsters??

I had my surgery on the 19th and am on the Puree now and in a few days on the solid phase and can't wait. I'm already putting together a menu plan . I was in heaven this morning when I ate eggs.I also am having trouble sleeping but it is not about pain as I have none now (finally). I guess I am also one of the lucky ones as I had little to none in bruising. The bandages are off and the scares looks clean and healed. I can lay on my stomach but don't know if I am allowed yet. I woke up this past Sunday feeling like my old self again. Only when I drink too fast do I feel the restriction. I have not had any fills yet. I hope it will get better soon for you. Why not call your doctor or the facility that did your surgery and check to make sure everything is alright?

    Any November 2009 Bandsters??

My surgery is tomorrow at 10:00 a.m. I am very nervous about it. I am glad to read some positive responses in here though. Congratulations to those of you who have just had the surgery. I will remember to take a pillow with me for the drive home also.

    Any November 2009 Bandsters??

They must do it differently here in Ontario, Canada for as far as I know I only have to have blood work and a ECG done before the surgery and then some type of pre op diet. I won't know more until I get the package they are sending me.

    Any November 2009 Bandsters??

I am going to be having my band put in on November 19th. I am going through all kinds of mixed emotions. I am just waiting for my information packet to arrive to tell me about the pre op and post op diet and to get my blood work and ECG done. I know this is a good thing that I am doing but I have carried this weight for 30 years now and the realization that it is actually going to go away is so overwhelming. :wink2:

    going to have surgery

I do private home daycare. I have a best friend who is going to take my kids on the Thursday and Friday then I have the weekend. I'm hoping they can return on the Monday. They told me at the clinic it is usually 3 to 4 days of rest. I hadd my gall bladder out and took the kids back after 4 days and apparently that is worse. Thanks for your comments and support. I am glad I found this place.

    going to have surgery

I'm from Canada and am going to have a lap band put in on Nov 19th. I have so many mixed feelings. I have read some posts and have scared myself watching the surgery on You Tube. Can anyone tell me what PB means? I know in my heart that it is a good choice and I am sure when everything gets back to normal, I will be fine. I am told it is just like my gallbladder surgery. I am lucky to have my husbands' support in this. Its it really painful afterwards? I have taken three days off work and am hoping that will be enough. does anyone have any advice, suggestions, anything?
