Wow... congrats on your fantastic results!!! Can you elaborate on your lap band experience? I have a request in to my insurance company to get the lap band (insurance company doesn't cover the VSG). The more I research the more I think I want the sleeve. Thanks!

Thanks for the info Vegas Angel. Congrats on your awesome success! I am envious of your progress. I have not had my surgery yet. I began my WLS investigation in July when I went to my first seminar. At that point I decided I wanted to pursue the lap band procedure. After much investigation and deliberation, I decided to switch to the VSG. I began the insurance requirements and found out that my company will be switching insurance carriers next year to United Healthcare. I have heard that UHC covers VSG but I don't want to wait another 3-4 months to have the procedure. As a result, I have a date of 12/30 to have VSG done in Mexico. I am going with Dr. Alvarez.
