    how soon to exercise again?

I was banded a little over a month ago and the week after surgery I was out running. I only mention it because its possible and my surgeon even said it was okay....HOWEVER, with all of the diet restrictions, I almost passed out from fatigue. Not to mention it felt like I could feel the band moving around in me. So I gave it a rest. Now Im moderately increasing my exercise, really planning to kick it into high gear starting November, but for me to "get right" it took about a month. Everyones body is different though, do what feels right for you.

  3. So Ive been banded for a little over a month (14Sept--my "bandday"--and I will Celebrate it next year, lol) but Im wondering if anyone had as much trouble as I did... First I had super intense pain, later found to be gas, but also a major "side stitch-like pain that was so bad on my left side, I had to take sips of air because to breathe normally hurt terribly. That mysteriously disappeared after about a week. Next, I started being awakened by my stomach growling. And let me tell you, I sleep like the dead so it had to be pretty violent for me to wake up. Its so bad that I call it "the beast". My friend used to laugh at me until she heard it for herself. Anyway, its so bad and it comes on like a sneak attack at times. One minute Im fine, the next Im ravishing my kitchen. It also seems like since Ive been banded and back on solid food, I get hungry a lot more often than I did before, which scares me because Im afraid I may be eating more than I did pre-band. Lastly, it seems like my throat is smaller since Ive been banded. I mean if I havent eaten in a while or Ive just woken up or sometimes at any time of the day and I eat something (I chew to a mush, Ive gotten stuck one time too many) its as if my esophagas is hugging the food as it goes down, drinks too. Its slightly uncomfortable but not life changing. But again this is something that never happened to me before the band. So, in conclusion to this essay, If anyone out there has had any similar "reactions" please let me know. I have heard about the gas so that makes me feel better, but I constantly worry that all of these things are not to be expected and that I may have to have my band removed or something... ....Which is absolutely terrifiyng to me:sad:
