Hi guys, sorry about leaving you all wondering. It's official now am a fully qualified approved bandster. But one thing that made me wonder. Just on eurostar on uk side so I thought you better know that I am alive n kicking. Met threes girls there, which was nice to know we were all in the same boat! Loom forward to lunch of hmmm let me guess ..... Oh yes soup yippee hope the girls are all ok. Paul -

Hi again, Thankfully I dont have to go that low, thanks to my friends input JoJo, relief all round. Yes once the deposit is received it is actually used to pay for the hotel and 4 taxis there and back. The hotel is for 3 nights, as the person accompanying you stays there during the time while ur in hospital too. Fredrick actually forgot to confirm my deposit had arrived until I phoned him to ask, but he did say sorry! So don't worry all will be taken care of by them. Good luck ok? Paul -

Hi honey, Well I only sent the first enquiry email on 25/01, and it was a case of getting the cash together so that was a little delay of maybe 2-3 weeks extra, and now I am booked for 09/03, so really a short time in the whole scale of it. All tests will be done on the evening of my arrival, but if your worried about it being refused, I was the same but once you complete the medical questionnarie they send, then really its a yes or no then, before you fork out for the trip etc. It's just struck me as today I have to pack my backpack and make a run to the local train station to start my journey and a new start to a new slimmer me.... Excited or what ??? -

How on earth did I forget to say I have shaved my chest and tummy today ready for my band fitting on Tuesday 09/03, this was from a thread I read on here, thinking the guy was having a laugh, but I emailed Fredrick who said it was a good idea to my suprise. It was either that or a dry razor with a nurse when I got there, ooouuucchhh ! Feels darn cold though and looks weird too lol. Note this chaps for your time will come too! Paul -

Hi Patty ! I found it easier to go into the bank with all the details and the girl did it for me no problems, i took approx 5 days for it to reach them under normal circumstances, with some checking along the way as the banks do, and to ensure you are not funding terrorist irganisations either, which was a serious issue but a funny one to me at the time. If you can use the co-op bank they only charged me £8 fee! Anyway good luck and think of me on Tuesday 09/03 when I am having my band fitted by Dr Chris, I cant wait.....:smile2: Paul -

Hello, I have been an active member for just under 6 months on this webpage, the things people have said throughout the 558 pages of various messages do state one very clear message, simply that this procedure and the applied method by such a nice set of caring people says that they are very highly recommended. In any way I will find out for myself next Tuesday when I have my turn at becoming a full qualified bandster and I can't wait. No doubt I will be reporting my experiences afterwards but rest assured I am sure it will all be good watch this space ok? And good luck to you in your journey to lapband freedom. Paul -

Well ok so far it seems. I have been trying to give it a trial for a few weeks already. I think I am used to eating like this now so it's becoming the norm! This time next Monday I will be about 20 mins from arriving in belgium, so just one final push this week to see if I can improve my pre op loss at all. Good luck with yours also. Paul -

hi, you're not alone! I have started my pre op diet today too. So far I have been so busy at work there was no time to feel hungry which is a good thing really. I think the main reason why we eat a lot is that we are used to planning our days out starting with what's for breakfast then lunch then dinner then a snack in the evenings. I try not to schedule my day around pre defined meal times but have them when I feel hungry,it does work too. I bought some of those crisp bake things This evening and put some marmite on it and To my suprise it was mmmmm yummy. Good luck on the D word! Paul -

Tracy my dear, just a few lines in your message gave me a little more conviction about what is possible with this new tool we are all lucky enough to either in my case about to adopt or as in numerous others already using. By this I mean the fact that you lost over a stone inside a short time frame and the fact that you went on to sort of solid food early too, and the even more amazing fact that your excerising so soon too. I am impressed so much that I feel even more ready to take the step today. I tried to swap my money for Euro's today but the rate is crap on weekends but a little moreso than of late. So I am hanging on in there until maybe someone suggests a really good company or outlet who can exchange it with a better rate. BUT needless to say BRING IT ON, I AM READY:w00t:. Take care and best of luck with your new venture x -

hi scooby, mines on 9th March , and by the sounds of it the only one on here that day. Anyway I'm taking eurostar. I went to my doc this morning for my monthly blood pressure check up and because I have lost a stone since Christmas it has come down to what they say is normal so I was impressed. I am looking forward to starting my p o diet Ihave been cutting down a while now so it seems to be working slowly. Can't wait to get it going in full swing. Is there anyone else booked on 9th march at all???? Paul. -

Hi Jojo Well done with the start of your new life. I am now about to start my pre op diet next tuesday. I am getting excited now as time is ticking by.... All be it a little slower than I would like it to go, my journey is booked now and my son is coming with me, I think he is looking forward to the trip also and a few days of being able to prop a bar up somewhere while he is waiting for me. Anyway keep going and I hope that I can report a good story of my experience afterwards too. -

I am wondering what I should be living on in the 2 weeks before my operation, Frederik mentioned low fat etc etc. Any suggestions as to what falls into this catagory with variation so boredom doesn't creep in ?? All suggestions welcome. PS I don't need advice on alcohol, as I rarely touch it, last time I was sozzled was 6 years ago on my 40th---Good excuse then ha ha. -

Hello Tracey Reading you account of the trip to Belgium just put one question into my mind and that is this.... The meal you had the night before suprised me a little, was it ok to have or what you really had was just enough to fill a sparrow to ensure no complications? Am just a little concerned as my son has decided to come with me ..."to drag my sorry ass back home in one piece" as he puts it so politely. So I gotta feed him regardless of what I have or not? Your's a little confused Paul:unsure: -

Hi Jo Jo, Thanks for the info. I booked an appointment for this morning, and great it worked a treat. Was even more impressed when they charged me £8 for the transfer. So if anyone has a CO-OP account use this bank its a cheap transfer fee. Getting excited now, that's another step taken towards freedom.....
