  2. 2 years has passed since you registered at LapBandTalk! Happy 2nd Anniversary alilash!

  3. I had my surgery on Dec 29th 2009, I was doing really good & then I had a life changing experience (Jan 29th) my dad passed away unexpected. I continued for my 1st fill, but it only seemed to help for a few weeks then I was able to eat anything again. I since have lost control and weight more now then I did before surgery =( I'm determined to make this work! My husband & I joined a local gym yesterday and I go on the 18th for fill #2. I just don't understand why I can eat anything & everything with out feeling sick or full? hopefully I can get this back on track soon! Any sugg are welcome, please!

I was banded on the 29th and I am still fighting major gas pains in my left shoulder. I actually wear a heat patch all day at work and get on the heat pad before bed. I have been walking on every break and after work, but doesn't seem to help. I too have been eating gas x like candy! Glad to know I am not alone, but when will it stop????

I went into surgery on Tues down 19 lbs, came home on Wed and had gained 9 of it back :smile2: My doctor said this is normal esp since they had to increase my IV overnight because my blood pressure decreased. I am happy to report I weighed in this morning and am back at the weight I was the morning of surgery ~ down 19 So, I agree, just hang in there and keep doing what your doing it will pay off! Good luck!

I was banded on Tuesday and was able to come home yesterday. I too would love to know how long the pain lasts. Most of my pain is on my left side by my port, I keep trying to walk and stretch but it hurts really bad. Hopefully it will pass soon.........take care!!

My doctor told me no more ibprofen from 2 weeks before surgery to forever. He said that it can cause ulcers around the band. I haven't done any personal research on this, I just stopped taking it.

I've been on the 2 week liquid diet prior to surgery, which is the 29th. The best store shakes (personally) are EAS and the strawberry are my favorite. They sell them at Wal-Mart! I also ordered online Chike shakes and they are great! I have Orange & banana flavor so I have some variety. You can get free samples and just pay for shipping! Good luck to you!

I understand exactly what you are saying! I am on day 8 of a 14 day liquid diet. Honestly the first 3 days were HORRIBLE! I was in the worst mood ever, mad at the world and didn't know how I was going to make it. Hang in there, I promise it does get a little better. I'm still thinking of food and hate how many commercials and billboards there are with food on them to remind me when I am not thinking of it, but my mood is a lot better these days compared to last week It will be worth it! :crying:
  13. Thanks so much for the picture comment!

Chike Nutrition - Best Tasting Meal Replacement Shake. Guaranteed. Pour, Shake, Drink & Go! These are my favorite shakes, I like all flavors, but banana & orange are the best. Prob because they are diff than all the other choc, straw & vanilla. Good luck to you =) I hope you like them as well as I do!!

BE STRONG GIRL...YOU CAN DO IT!!! I also started my liquid diet on Tuesday & it has been rough.:smile2: I thought I was doing better today until I just watched my husband & son eat Monical's pizza.:wink2: Keeping the end goal in mind is the only thing keeping me on track right now. I also keep telling myself the only way to avoid food completely would be to lock myself in a room...which crossed my mind more than a few times, but not logical. lol We can do this together!!! Is your surgery on Dec 29th?
