Yeah, sorry the 24th. See you then.

What party? They always send mail to my former address. I've changed it with them a few times now, but it still gets sent to my old house I would probably go, if I knew when I am getting fill on the 25th, if you are also, I'll see you there!

AWESOME!! :clap2: I'm so thrilled, I got on the scale today and it said 35 gone! I just might make my Christmas goal :peep:

Hey Candy, I see a big difference in your cheeks and chin. Your face is definitley slimming down, which means the rest of you is to!!! On Saturday I went to get my haircut, I stopped by my cousins on the way. When I turned to leave, she said, OH MY, Now I see the difference, your ass isn't nearly as big as it was and you're getting your hourglass back! :peep: It's the truth, those are the very same things I've noticed in me!

I am so aggravated, I went to get my 2nd fill on Friday. My dd has been home sick since last Sunday and dh had to take the morning off of work to staywith her while I drove up for the fill. I live over an hour away from the office, and I had to be there between 7:30 and 8:30am. I got there at 8:02, at 9:50, I left without getting my fill because there was till a wait of at least 20 minutes and I had to home by 11:00. I am pissed that I waited 2 hours and wasted a total of 5 getting up early and driving for nothing. Now I have to go back on November 24, because he's not doing any fills until then. UGH!!

:clap2: Way to go on the almost 29 lbs. You rock sistah!!! I have an appointment with our doc on Monday because I'm still vomiting a good amount when I eat. Some days not at all and some days, everything. I think it might be what I'm eating, but I'm a big weenie and just want to make sure. I also want to see what my weight loss is on his scale since that is, for me, the true measure of my weight loss

CONGRATS!!! and you know, if you eat healthy while pregnant, you may still lose weight and have a healthy baby. While pg, I ate healthier and was more active than I had been in years. My dd weighed in at 8lbs 13 oz and at my 6 week check I was 40lbs lighter than when I walked in for my first visit

For me, the easiest to get down are the Isopure fruit drinks mixed with water. Alone, they taste like jello on crack, just way to sweet, yuckbut mixed with water they are much better. I can't do any of the choc/vanilla flavored stuff because they all taste chalky to me and I throw them up, so not good -

Good luck to your mom, I hope it went well I noticed our stats also, that is freaky, and if you look, we've both lost the same amount of weight :clap2: -
Friday marked three weeks since my first fill and I have an appointment on the 16th because I'm still getting most of my protien from Isopure. If I try to eat anything with substance it either sticks and really hurts or I vomit violently. I can't keep doing that Little bites, chewing thoroughly, still a problem. Three weeks on mushies just seems to long. I PB'd the other day on vegetable soup, and it doesn't get much mushier than that! On the plus side, I have been losing weight :lol According to my scale, I'm down 30-ish pounds since surgery. I can't wait to see what his scale says when I go in. I need to know what the difference between my scale and his scale is...sick, I know

My October goal is at least 10 pounds. Given that almost everything I eat gets stuck, so I don't eat much anymore, I don't think it will be a big problem I actually think if it doesn't start working itself out in the next week or two, I'm going to need to get a little unfilled. I lost 15 in September. My short term goal is to lose 50 by Christmas!

I can't. If I eat to much bread, we're talking three to four bites, I'm stuck and drinking only makes it that much worse. I would love to be able to eat bread, i love it, it's part of what got me here in the first place. Maybe I just don't need it and the pain is just not worth it

I had the same thing. It lasted for almost a week. If you're really worried call your doc and have him call you back.
-
It's been a week since my first fill and just today I started eating something other than pureed soup. It got stuck, man does that hurt!! Holy hell! PB'd and felt much better. I think I'll stick with the pureed stuff for a while longer. Unfortunately I found that cheesecake goes down just fine. Bad roiansmom bad :cry I made dh take the entire thing to work today.

I was supposed to have my surgery last year. I was so scared, it was unreal. Thankfully I had bronchitis and my doctor cancelled the surgery. I let it go for 11 months. This time my surgery was scheduled for August 24 and it couldn't get here fast enough. I swear, I had no second thoughts, no fear. I wanted this, and I wanted it NOW. My only concern was anasthesia. I've only had one other surgery and the anesthesiologist was a family friend. I KNEW he wasn't letting anything happen to me Obviously, it went fine and I am soooooo glad I did this. A little fear is normal, good luck!

I had my first fill yesterday and am definitely restricted! I asked Dr Nusbaum how much he was putting in and his answer was "as much as it will take. When we're done I'll let you know how much it took." Then we started chatting and I forgot to ask for the final amount He said that he doesn't like to do a small start like .5cc etc, because you may have no restriction and it may take a few fills for a good fit. He likes to start off big, give you good restriction and go from there. So far, so good. I'm back on liquids and am still not hungry, but am looking forward to dropping a few more pounds before I can start solids again. Oh yeah, anyone else feel slightly nauseous for a day or two after their fill?
-
I have been doing terribly. Since the 3rd or 4th I have been able to eat whatever I want with no restriction at all. I started eating solids because mushies weren't cutting it. I have no problem with them other than mental I feel like I shouldn't be eating that yet, but I'm not satisfied any other way. I try to do liquids for breakfast/lunch/throughout the day, but I do eat "real food" for dinner. Albeit much less than before, so why am I feeling so guilty? I don't feel anything different, so am hoping I haven't done any damage. I get my first fill on Friday and can barely wait! Oh and BTW, can anyone else feel their port and is it tender in that area still? (banded on 8/24).
-
That's the one I do also. I have to mix it with Water though, it tastes like cold Jello on speed otherwise. Eww. But it's better than the powder stuff
-
At 8 days out, I couldn't imagine being able to eat anything like that :lol Now at 14, I can eat anything I want to. I'm trying really hard not to go crazy, but I am hungry and the little bits I'm eating aren't filling me up, and I have NO restriciton whatsoever. I liked it much better when I was having trouble with one egg! I have my first fill on the 15th and am hoping for a happy medium between having trouble with broth and having trouble keeping my mouth empty
-
I had my first follow up today. I was banded on the 24th. I LOST 15 POUNDS!!!! I am so freakin' excited, I swear, I'm giddy!!
-
I have been so hungry the past two days, and I don't feel full. I had baby food pears, two 8oz protien drinks, 1/2- 1 cup mashed potatoes a cup of Soup and some shredded slimey chicken yesterday, in addition to 3 16oz bottles of Water. It just seems like a lot to injest and still feel hungry and not feel that very full bloated feeling. I'm not having any pain, in fact I feel great. Any ideas or is this normal?
-
Is it normal to not feel full 10 days PO?

I was very nervous also. Not afraid of him or the surgery but the anesthesia. I've only ever had surgery once before. I was 23, had my tonsils out and the anesthesiologist was a family friend. I KNEW he wasn't letting anything happen to me This time I wasn't so sure! Have you had a fill yet? I am going for my first on the 15th, just wondering what to expect. -
Diva Girl YOU ROCK!!! Congrats to you for sticking to it. You are a better bander than I I would not have been able to walk away twice!
