has anyone had the surgery and done well in the beginning, but once they fell off could NOT get back on? that is me, i am doing horrid! i would love any suggestions!

I would say it is more me feeling guilty than the doctor not being nice about it! In the beginning I went lots...but the last year or so I slacked off! You are doing well with your progress! Keep up the good work!

Same thing happens with me and the band fills...they help for just a few days! Good job on the eliptical.! I do hope your appt with your doc goes well! Good day to you too!

I havent been back to the doctor in MONTHS..possibly almost a year! i absolutely am doing the SAME as you. I can eat whatever I want! To say I am frustrated is an understatment!

That is some fine darn advice! Thank you for it. I am writing it all down...and have cut down on fat considerably and do hardly any sugar! your words are VERY inspirational!

OMG!!!! You sound JUST like me...the band is not helping me nearly as much as i thought it would! I am becoming so frustrated. I am going to go in for another fill soon, but certainly never thought I could/would eat like I do!

i just read thru lots of posts here and there is indeed some great info! i was banded in 2008...but am only down about 50 pounds now, it was 60+ but somehow once i got "used" to the band it doesn't seem to do the trick anymore. does anyone have any advice on how to do it. i am journaling since monday! thanks in advacne for any help/advice!

bill, how did you know your band wasn't acting properly? i can eat anything i want. and this is not a good thing. the band has not been effective for me. aside from the first few months!

How are you feeling now? I had my surgery na few years ago and I will say I am not the poster chold for the band surgery. I did not do as well as I wished. Can anyone give me advice on how to get back on track? Did anyone fall off the wagon for an extended time and then get back on the straight and narrow?
