Pounds coming off slower (one pound every two weeks) but almost at the 200lb mark. Can't wait till the one year mark.

Hey fellow Oct 09 Bandsters! I've lost 50lbs and couldnt be happier. My only concern is that there is no way I am feeling full after a cup of food (last night I had a steak and a small portion of rice) but my Dr. said as long as I'm losing weight, who cares? I'm only nervous that Im not stretching my stoma but my Dr. doesnt seem too concerned. They just operated on the NY Jets coach this week so I assume they know what they are doing.

I don't like it but I have gotten used to water.

I went to the Gap for the first time in ten years this weekend. I've always been shopping at Big and Tall or JC Penny's Big section and it was such a great feeling to be able to go to a regular store and fit in a pair of jeans! It took alot of control but I put it back on the shelf knowing that I am still on the path of losing more weight and am not ready to change my wardrobe just yet. I'm curious to hear when my fellow bandsters have started shopping and changing their wardrobes,,,

Have you considered mixing up the types of exercises you are doing and the foods that you are eating? I find that sometimes "tricks" your system to get going again. I just got my 3rd fill this morning for a total of 8.5. I love getting my fill becuase that means 4 days of liquids and mushies which transalates to more weight loss.:wink:

I was just curious what everyone's experience has been since their first fill. I haven't lost any weight (nor gained) since my first fill a few weeks ago. I barely have any restriction and PB only when I don't chew enough. I've been doing the treadmill 4 times a week so I think that has helped me not gain anything but I am no where close to the restriction I had post surgery. I have 6.4cc right now, rcvd 3cc on the first fill, plus what was in the band at surgery, and am hoping to see more restriction after my next fill coming up next week. What was your experience like between the first and second fill?

I had my first fill (3cc and already had 3.4cc at surgery) and am looking forward to my 2nd fill in early January. Not much restriction but I have been able to either take off a lb a week or stay steady by doing the treadmill 4 times a week, walking 3.5 mph for 45 min. I'm a little concerned that I already have 6.4 cc and arent close to where I need to be regarding the restriction.:thumbup:

Linda, I just got my first fill today. I was nervous but it didnt hurt anymore than feeling a prick in your finger like at a blood test. Just a little pressure as they are pushing the shot so you get the saline (I got 3cc today on top of the 3.4cc I rcvd during the surgery). Nothing to worry about. I can't wait to start feeling some restriction!

Sheri, I got my band on 10/27 and I feel your pain. But it's true that it gets better every day. I just went back to work today. As for the gas pains, today was the first day without the constant growling!

what did u do about removing bandages? My Dr. said I can take of the main bandages (which are a little bloody) by myself but the steristrips fall off in about 2 weeks. I'm afraid to pull it off as I don't want to bleed or pull of the hair which is stuck by this transparent tape. Help!
