Getting pregnant with PCOS
TN_girl21 replied to TN_girl21's topic in Pregnancy with Weight Loss Surgery
Congrats!!!!!! I got my period, naturally, on October 16, so these past couple of days have been my ovulating time. My OBGYN doesn't seem to think that I will need ovulating medicine. And all the signs of ovulation I have. Anyways...so we are keeping our fingers crossed that I keep having my periods naturally, so we can get pregnant!! -
Tracy....the shoe business is a little slow. October was a horrible month for all of the retail shops in the shopping center that I'm in. I'm hoping that the holidays bring more business! Congrats on losing more weight!!!! Suzie..that's definitely what I'm trying to do! It's hard when everybody has their own opinion on how I should or shouldn't be doing things. Jenn...date night is tonight!! We are going to Chattanooga to eat at Kanpai (it's a Japanese hibachi place. It's more expensive than the one in my town plus it's in Chattanooga so we never go lol). I think we are going to do some shopping too! Have fun at the party! Well, I'm working today. Praying and crossing my fingers that customers come in!! I hope everybody has a great day!! Edited to say.......I have found a new love --- SKINNY JEANS!!! I have them on today with them tucked into a pair of equestrian style boots I have in my store. Paired with the darker color skinny jeans and a black 3/4 sleeve shirt. Ahh!!! I've gotten so many compliments. And to be honest, the skinny jeans make me look skinnier!!!

Tracy & Debbie...I agree chatting on here helps so much! I had my first visit with a psychologist last week. I have been through so much in the last 2 years. My dad tried to commit suicide, I got married, I started a business, DH and I separated, I filed for divorce, and we got back together. Plus my dad has filed bankruptcy 2 years ago (him and my mom were self-made millionaires, and the rumors around town are horrible but they divorced years ago). And I'm finally to the point where I have put on that smile for so long, it's worn me down. The doctor did say I had mild depression. So honestly, from the bottom of my heart, I want to thank yall for letting me join the conversation and just letting me talk about random things. It really does help. So..DH and I were supposed to have date night tonight. His little sister (she's 15 and a sophomore in high school) convinced him to take her to the football game. He wanted to spend time with her, so he did. Well, she left him sitting by himself. DH felt bad about leaving me at home by myself because right now I don't deal with being by myself very well. I told him not to worry, I would go to Target or something to occupy my time. And at first, we were going to go to the party tomorrow very early (before people got drunk) and say that we had to get up early for Dollywood tomorrow. But since date night was cancelled tonight, he promised me that we would go do some shopping and have a nice dinner tomorrow night, and have our date night. And thankfully, we are taking our dogs to the boarder tomorrow since we will be gone all day Sunday, so we can have the night to ourselves and not have to worry about getting home to take the dogs out. I'm so so so looking forward to it. What has everybody done tonight?

Glad you are feeling better, Suzie!!!

DH has to work over today. But all I have to say is 2 things: 1. Thank the Lord he finally found a job! 2. Over-time pay!! lol DH is going to kill me. lol I'm coming home with another new pair of shoes. But hey..at least I get them at cost! haha I wish I knew how to upload pictures. These shoes are to die for!!!! Try this link if you want to see these shoes I'm getting from my store. If it doesn't work, I will try something else! Franco Sarto Okay...back to work!

Tracy.....it's not tequila lol It's Crown Royal. And yes...tequila makes you (well, me) stupid. lol Kat...Lee knows too much about our difficulties. And yes, Jason knows he is disliked. His response is "It's non of Lee's business". Lee doesn't have a thing for me. He says I'm like a little sister to him. DH said something about skipping it. I hope we do. I need to get ready for work. Have a great day!!
-
crzytchr....I hope that is what we do. I will probably be pushing for that! lol Tracy...my mom has told Lee to keep his mouth shut. And I am agreeing with you that his wife probably has too. At least I hope! lol Plain...that's a good idea too!! Thanks for the advice!! I would talk to Jacque (Lee's wife...my employee) about it, but she doesn't work anymore this week. Hopefully he's not stupid enough to try to start trouble with his boss's son-in-law. But alcohol makes you do stupid stuff.

I need some advice. There's a friend of our family, who has been a friend for around 15 years. He works for my mom as a maintenance man and his wife works for me at my shoe store. Lee (the guy) has a big hatred for my husband. His hatred started when DH and I were going to get a divorce. Well, now that DH and I have worked things out (and are still working at things), Lee really can't stand him. Here's the problem. We have mutual friends. These friends are the friends that we go rock crawling with. Lee has known them for years too (but doesn't rock crawl). The Bacon's (the friends I'm talking about) have an annual Halloween party. Of course we were invited (they are also my family), and Lee and his wife have been invited. Of course, there will be drinking. I know for a fact that Lee will be drunk. I'm terrified that Lee (he is in his mid thirties) is going to come up to DH and try to start trouble. DH and I may have a drink or two, but we are not the type to get drunk. I don't want problems because my mom loves Lee and his family (Lee's mom cleans my mom's house). And Lee's wife is an awesome employee. I don't want problems at all!!! I know that the other people there will stop Lee if he does try to start anything. But I also know my hubby. He will tell Lee to mind his own f**king business. UGHHH!!!!! Help!!! DH promised we wouldn't stay long because we are going to Dollywood the next day. I hope yall followed that. lol So what do I do?? I agree it's non of Lee's business. And knowing me, I will step in and tell him the same thing. I'm actually nervous about going...Help!!!!

Congrats, Tracy!!!!!!!! I'm too afraid to step on my scale. I feel like life has gotten in the way of my weight loss. I really have got to get back to eating right. I bought another Christmas present today. I feel so good about starting so early since we have so many people to buy for. DH and I are having pictures made next weekend, so our grandparents are getting pictures of us because they don't have any. I only have one grandparent left who is re-married. DH has 4 sets of grandparents (his parents are divorced and his mom's parents are divorced) and one great grandmother. I feel accomplished today. I've made tea, boiled the chicken for my chicken casserole tonight. I've swept and mopped. I feel like I constantly sweep because of our Boxer shedding. lol And I've finished my Christmas list of what we're buying everyone for Christmas, all except DH's step dad and my sister & her husband. Okay..enough of my pointless stuff. lol I'm going to finish cleaning. :sneaky:

Suzie...I'm sorry to hear that you are so sick! The flu is never fun!! Get better soon! I have to brag on DH. He gets off work before I do, so he's always home when I get home. I walked into the door and he greeted me with the biggest hug, picked me up, kissed me and told me he loved me. Aww!!! And I think it's crazy that I am already planning my store's Christmas Open House. Time flies!!!!

Angela...my hubby and I have a weekly date night. We either go out or stay at home. But it's our time. If we stay at home, we cook dinner together. But on Sunday nights, no matter what, we watch Dexter together. I think every couple should have date nights. Good for yall!!

Well, good news!! So far....no more mice!!!!! We had some horrible storms yesterday. Jason had to turn the pump to make our pool drain so our pool wouldn't over fill. He had to do it twice in an hour. But luckily as it got to about 10:00 last night, the rain quit. But this crazy weather...it was 85 yesterday, supposed to be 78 tomorrow, and only 60-65 tomorrow and Friday. I'm ready for it to stay fall weather! DH and I are going to Dollywood on Sunday to see the Gospel shows. I'm ready for a fun day away! Hope everyone has a great day!!

Thanks for the advice!!! DH gets up at 5:30 to go to work. I get up this morning, walk into the bathroom. There's another one in my bathtub!!!!!!!!!! It's still alive. I call DH, and he is having phone issues. So I took the sticky pad and dropped it on the mouse, and put it in a plastic bag and took it to the trash. When I open the outside trash can, one of the mice we caught last night is still alive on a trap looking at me. We've now caught 5 mice in 12 hours. Let me vent and break this down for you......We've caught a total of 6 mice in the house, 2 in the garage from rat poisoning, and 3 or 4 in our pool skimmer. That's all been within a month, maybe a little longer. My dad said "Don't call Orkin. They'll think you're crazy for getting upset. They'll probably make you house of the month for catching so many mice." Thanks Dad! lol Well, off to get ready so I can buy more glue traps to catch our new house mates. Have a great day yall!!!
-
Okay...make that 4 mice tonight!!!!!! I went into our bathroom, and saw one in our bath tub. Our bath tub is sunken into the floor. So he was trapped. Jason comes in and goes "Hey there little buddy". I looked at him and said "Really??? You're going to talk to it. Please get it out of here!" I learned that mice can swim. He got it into a solo cup and flushed it down the toilet. We weren't sure what to do with it. Needless to say...I was going to take a relaxing bath tonight, but not anymore. Even though I did clean the tub, I just can't make myself take a bath. So a shower it is. Then I went back into the laundry room. There was another one on another glue trap. DH went outside to the dryer vent. The flap wasn't closing. so he fixed that. Hopefully since the flap is closed now, they won't come back in. I'm getting fed up with these mice. 4 mice in one night? That's got to be a record. Off to watch Dexter...

DH and I have caught 3 mice in the past 5 days (2 of them being tonight). We went out for dinner, and as I was getting the dogs out of their kennels, I heard squeaking. There was a baby mouse on a sticky pad. Walked out into the garage...there was a mouse dead. It had gotten into the rat poison the Orkin man put out. Then I was checking the other sticky pads in the laundry room (where the baby was and where we keep the dogs), I finally see how the mice are getting in and out because I saw another mouse going out. Between the dryer hose and the wall. DH goes "I will fix it tomorrow. Please go to Lowe's and get spray foam." If this doesn't stop these stupid mice I'm going to go absolutely crazy!!!! I hate hate hate mice!!!! At least we are catching them. And to top it off....there's a skunk in our back yard that thankfully hasn't sprayed. DH also saw a bobcat in our back yard. And there's a pack of coyotes that we hear about 3-4 times a week. All these mice make me feel like my house is dirty, and I hate a dirty house!!! I will be frantically cleaning tomorrow.

Just wanted to say that I love this idea...mostly because I'm from Cleveland!!! haha

Kat, I'm glad everything is okay!! It's crazy how some things can get so screwed up! Well, DH wanted to take me for a ride on the motorcycle today. But before I could tell him that I don't think I can swing my leg to get on the bike, he has called our friends and we're going riding! I did tell him I was not going as I am way to sore to get on the bike and ride for a couple of hours. lol So he went, and I think we are having movie night tonight. I'm hoping I can talk him into taking me to see The Social Network. I was reminded how well our dogs have it. Both of our dogs are out of food. So we go to Tractor Supply for Babe's (the Boxer). Almost $50 that we spend monthly on Babe's food. Then off to PetCo for Coco's (the Yorkie). Luckily, we spend only $12 every 2 months or so on her. lol But DH couldn't resist buying them 2 new toys! lol And the fact that the dogs have been laying around on the couch sleeping all day. Oh to have the life of our pets. Sorry the random post. I'm a little bored. :blushing:

Kat, your husband is in prayers!!!! I pray that they will find him safe!!!

It's okay!! My name is Ashley. I guess I should be signing my name to make it easier!

Riding a Saddlebred again was AMAZING!! Although, I can already feel the soreness kicking in! But it was worth it. I'm saying it now...and I will say it again. Once the DH's buggy is done and our 5th wheel camper is sold, I will be showing horses again! I went and saw my pony. He was so fat and so happy! I was reminded that I retired him at his peak, and after winning multiple World's Championships, he deserves this retirement. I did some Christmas shopping tonight. We have about 20 people to buy for, that's not including what DH and I buy each other. I keep wanting to see The Social Network. Has anybody seen it?? Off to take a hot bath to see if it will help this soreness! lol

Well, the DH is off to Jellico rock crawling. He got up at 5 this morning. I am going to the barn today. I haven't been since I sold my horse. I used to show American Saddlebred horses and Hackney Ponies. My 19 year old pony is getting fat in the pasture. I retired him in 2009. BTW, if you ever want some great full body exercise...go take a horse back riding lesson. I'm not going to be able to move tomorrow. But it's soooo worth it!!!! Angela, Nice to meet you!! Hope everyone has a great weekend!!!

Michelle, I'm glad someone else knows what a rock crawler is! haha This is DH's 2nd one. He built a brand new motor for this one. When I look at it..I think of how much money is invested into this beast. But it really is so so much fun!!! I got to sit in the new buggy yesterday. It's designed so different from the first. My reaction was "I feel like I'm in a video game simulation." DH just laughed. He usually doesn't let the buggy come first, so I don't get mad when he does. I've already made plans for tomorrow! We have 2 friends that have CJ's that go with us. So we are having our date night tonight since tomorrow his day is dedicated to the buggy!

Good morning!! My day trip to Gatlinburg has been cancelled. All thanks to my cousin (who does buggies too) and my DH decided that Saturday morning should be time to work on the buggy. Oh well. I will find something to occupy my time! :w00t: 1/2 pound is so much better than gaining! I'm too afraid to get on the scale. I've been so stressed lately. I'm sure I've gained. I have some good news! My prayers have been answered! DH's job that we thought was only going to be temporary, it has turned into a full time permanent job!!!!! WOOHOOO!!!! I hope everybody has a great day!!!
-
Thanks for the welcoming!! It's finally starting to feel like fall here! My hubby told me that he is going to take me to Gatlinburg (it's only about an hour and a half away) on our Harley this weekend (since it's my weekend off) to ride through the mountains because the color is in peak now. I've been so stressed lately, so I need this little day get away. I grilled for the first time last night! Usually Jason does the grilling. But he is building his 2nd rock crawler (you might see me refer to it as "the buggy"...I'm open to all sorts of questions because most people look at me and say "a what???!"), and he and his cousin were working in the garage while I cooked. I must say...it was delicious!! But we are grilling steaks tonight, and that is his speciality! I wanted to walk this morning, since it's my day off, but it is so cold! The walk will have to wait till the afternoon. Trey, I'm sure we will get along just fine! As I can have a smart mouth at times too! haha Tracy, that is too cute! I bet she is a doll! I love kids, so I will definitely enjoy your stories!

Hey yall! I guess since I've never posted in this thread before I should introduce myself. I'm Ashley from Cleveland, TN! I've been married to my husband for a little over a year. We had a very very rough 1st year of marriage, but I decided to give him one last chance. And things have been AMAZING! I go to school full time (but I'm taking this semester off), majoring in Business: General Management. I am also going to get my MBA. And to top it off, I own my own ladies shoe boutique, which I love! I have 2 wonderful dogs: a Boxer and a Yorkie. They are our children...that is until we have our first little one (which we are trying for). Thanks for letting me join in on the conversation!!!
