I am trying to arrange for lap band surgery early next year. I have severe sleep apnea and type II diabetes and really think that before I turn sixty I would like to rid myself of those impositions on my life. I realize that this is going to be a major life change however I have been quite good at following diet regimes for low carbs during the last three years and exercising 5 days a week. I can maintain my weight but I can't seem to lose weight any more. My problem is I never seem to get full and I eat too much and too fast. I am self pay so at this time I am pursuing the procedure in Juarez, Mexico with Dr. Arturo Valenzuela Zorilla. I don't really know anyone who has been there or have any specific references other than I can get there in a days travel and home the same with maximum 2.5 hour flights. It is also much less expensive than in Florida so that is why I am looking to Juarez and Hospital Angeles. Naturally I am nervous about this so I was wondering if anyone had been there or had that surgeon. Other than that I am looking forward to having my band put in late January next year.
