Do NOT give-up, this is not a quick fix and it will take alot of work and dedication from you, I know how you feel, but if it came easy, then you would not realize what a major step you have taken. You will need to take matters into your own hands and start by reading everything you can on how to eat and the amount. The fills are very helpful, but they are not the only thing to depend on, they are only a tool and you will need to learn more as you go along. I wish I had more info before I had my surgery, but I didn't and I would still do it all over again, but I will depend on what I do can do about food and exercise. I went today for a small fill, but the main reason I went was because I have so much pain around my rib cage that I have not exercised in 2 months and I wanted to be x-rayed to make sure my band had not slipped before I started my program back up. I had Shingles in Jan and I was told I could have pain for a long period of time after the virius was gone, but I did not know the pain would be so strong, but the x-ray showed my band was in perfect position and everything was looking good, so now I will fight thru the pain and continue my journey as before. I was banded 10-19-09 and have lost 59lbs so far, I feel I should be doing better, but the doc said I was on track. I know it can be discouraging going for a fill and find out the appointment was messed up, but the girls in the office probaly feel bad about their mistake, so shake it off, (you can't change it anyway) and start a new day and go from there. I hope I have given you some in-sight to this journey and I pray you have the determination to beat the promlems that will pop up.
