I went to the Dr. office last Sept. 2008. The Dr. explained the procedure and all steps I had to take before the surgery. I started some of testing that needed to be done. And maked my appointments to the specialists I needed to see. Then my mother got sick and I found out she had lung cancer. So I had to put my testing on the side for a moment to help take care of her. My mom pass away on 12/31/08. But I had already spoke to her about my thoughts about my procedure and she gave me her blessing. It was hard for me to go for my tests after my mom passed. But I knew she would wanted me to go a head with the procedure. Started back to take all tests that needed to be done. Submitted to the Dr. (surgeon). Then I was told that my insurance company would not pay. So I work with my surgeon for six months and Dr. resubmitted and the insurance company then decided to pay. I had my surgery on 10/02/09. So far I lost 20 pounds as of 10/18/09.
