  1. Happy 38th Birthday drush829!

  2. 2 years has passed since you registered at LapBandTalk! Happy 2nd Anniversary drush829!

  3. How did you visit go? Sorry it took so long to get back to you. Getting used to how this talk thing works. I went to see my doc this wed. and they say its normal to feel hungry, it means the swelling has gone down. They still want me eating mushy though. It has been very difficult. We went out to lunch today and I had soup, everyone else was eating burgers and crap. Not real fun. Feel free to email me.

  4. I am craving real food..my tummy seems to be growling all the time. I have cheated in the last 2 days because I am so hungry and am now concerned that I may cause a slip. Goingin to my surgeon tomorrow.

  5. Hello, I was wondering what problems you are having with hunger? I was banded on the 13th of Oct. and maybe having the similar feeling. My brother was banded on Aug. 11th and never felt what I feel.

  6. I am on full liquids now which has helped some. Last night I blended down a potato soup which was very good. I am also trying different protien drinks amd mixes. After next Friday I can begin soft foods and I am so excited.
  7. My name is Deanna and I was banded 10-09-09. I am 35 and married with 2 small children (4 and 2.5) I am a teacher. Starting weight was 232 currently at 218. I am having a hard time with the liquid diet post-op. I am so very hungry all the time and afraid I am consuming too much per meal. I do not want to strech my pouch or cause my band to slip but this is what I am afraid of right now. I really need someone I can talk to about this. My family is very supportive but they don't understand what I am going through.
  8. I was banded 10-09-09 and am really nervous about my band. I am supposed to be on liquids and strained soups but I am so hungry. I have cheated a little (ate a piece of string cheese, not straining my soups) but I am afraid I am consuming too much at a time. Dr's office said 4-6 oz 6x daily but I know I am taking in 8-10 oz in my servings. I am scared of causing my pouch to get bigger or dislodging my band. I am so hungry all the time. Any words of advice?
  9. I am SOOOOO glad I am not the only person having this problem. I am 8 days post banding and I feel like I am starving all the time. My dr pulled 1.8cc residual saline out of my band Monday because I was so nausuated all the time. Since then I have had no problem. I have been scared that I am consuming too much liquid and will strech the band. Good Luck
