Around my port area I feel like its Brused and I think its cause if I wear pants that rub near it or around it.. or i lean over my deak etc etc or even do to many sit up it tends to hurt more.. right now its not .. but it has a few times Texasbrat

Well I was band from him as well and he really is no help..at all. he is at 1st but after you have it done.. he is NO help at all.. I had alot of problems with my port where the cut wasnt closeing it to a long time to heal I keep calling and calling but NO help only one that would help where the girls in front but they couldnt really help me with this since it was still a open cut. well it findly healed but the scar is ugly.. its bigger on one side then the other so i wasnt happy with that I too go to the Physicians surgery center for my fill and they are very nice , and exlpain anything that needs to be. I will never regreat having him do it. just should have look to see how the after care was going to be cause in my eyes.. after its done you go for ONE VIST to see him and he just checks tummy after that your on your own... So make sure you pick a doctor that will make sure u have good after care.. cause this is a life thing so if something ever go's wrong u want to make sure you have someone who is alway's going to be lookin after you.. I have a small group plan too BC. BS and i tried for 2 years to get it covered and they would'nt do it even tho i got them all the info that they told me that they would need they still did not cover it. So i went and got all this info for them for them to still tell me NO NO NO .. well after 2 years of trying. I gave up and went the self pay route. And i am so happy i did. Yall keep up the fight.

I have been doing so well with this whole thing ,did good during Thanksgiving and Christmas.. But Now it's New Years and every year I have went to a Bar or Party.. and I do drink.. So guess my question is . Is there anyone else out there that is going out this New Years to Party and if so what will you be drinkin.. since I can't have beer.. what are some other good choice out there that I can drink?

I only had to do a one day preop Liquid diet and that was hard lol.. but get use to it causes after u get the band you will be on a liquid diet for about a week after. good luck..

Well i have BC/BS and they would not cover it, tryed for 2 years to get it done and everything i would get for them still wasn't enough info.. the doctor who did mine was Speigal and he is in houston Tx.. and i to was selfpaid. and it cost me $15000 so your lookin about $1,500 on up depending what they charge the insurance company for your copay..

I went on a plaine in Oct and it was a bit tight but was ok.. and i was at 241 at that time i am flying out today and i am at 230 now so i am sure it will be ok... I think its up to the person if they want to get a 2nd seat or not!!!!

Hello I was banded on Sept 1st everything is going very well.. I am down 50 pounds now. Started out in a size 28/26 and now in a size 20 weeeeee... anyways since i have started loseing the weight I have been like spotting i called my OBGYN to see why this is happening i thought something might be wrong with my insides so i went for test. i started out at a size 26/28 and now i am down to a 22 and i can cross my legs and i feel good that i can cross them!!!!!!

I have Tattos too.. and i have lost 45 pounds already and they dont look like they change any YET.. but that dont mean when i lose the other 80 pounds they wont . but i love tattos so i will get more i am sure lol....

Today I got my 2nd fill my 1st fill i got 3cc and today i got another 5cc i wanted a bit more but the doctor said no go.. but i tried cause right now i can eat about anything with no problems so i wanted at least 6cc she told me to wait 2 weeks then come back. So if after this week if i still feel i can eat to much i am going to call them and go back for 1cc since thats what she told me i could do. I was banned on Sept 1st and so far i have lost 45 pounds so it's workin just need to keep up the fills so that way i dont gain back i just keep droping. So i hope this 5cc along with the 3cc that where already in there will put MORE Restictions on me.. TexasBrat VG Ban

yes i clean it with hydrogen peroxide it help dryed it out. but they didnt put steri strips back on it, we just covered it up so that way it would soke up anything that was draining.. cause that stuff loves to get on your clothes lol.... and that sucks. just keep doing what you are doing and i am sure it will close up like i said mind just closed up about a weekago. so i have no more draining but its still healing !!!!

I had the same thing happen to me. took me about 7 week for it to close up and now and now i have no draining from my port. and i thought it was infected too but he said no nothing to worry about just keep it clean and it will stop when its ready to stop and it will close as long as u take care of it...and it did.. I am new to lapband talk and I been reading this site for a few weeks now, and what everyone had to say, it's help me alot to think about what I need to do after the surgery and what foods are good to eat after wards. Hello everyone Well things have been going really well with my band I was band Sept 1st.. I was like this is going to be a easy.. Til I woke up Last thur with a infection where the port is.. very bad stomach pain and lots of draining.. i am feeling better today stomach is still sore a little but i still have draning so I cant go back to work til that stops other then that.. Hello everyone.. Tomorrow is the big day for me... i am so happy this day has come. I been waiting for almost 2 years to get my insurance company to approve this and they never would damn blue cross lol.....So now I got the money together and paid it myself.. yes alot of money but in the long run I think well worth it.
