    I absolutely love the way you are not ashamed to appologize even if you don't have a reason too. It shows that you really care about the feelings of others, and that their is no malice in your comments. Like you, I am losing slow to. I have four kids, and am a single mom so some days my meals are quick and easy and not so healthy. Also, when I dip ice cream for the kids, sometimes it's two for them and one for me...lol I am ok with the slow loss though, because i would like to enjoy these little things. I am also ok with those people who choose not to. We are all individuals, and have the right to our own styles, opinions, and weight loss plans.

  4. I have 7ml in a 10 ml band. Some restriction but not a lot. Go in next week for another fill. I believe this one will take me to my sweet spot.

    Holiday Blues?

    I am having a hard time right now too. I also suffer from clinical depression, and am a Christian. I know God has a plan, and that he hears my prayers, but sometimers it feels as though he just isn't listening or I have done something to turn him off. I take meds, and have been in prayer also, but things are just really rough for me right now. I am a single mom, and work full time. On top of everything else, I am lonely, and there seems to be no prospects in the future. thank you for the thread, because I have no one else to tell. I also give back as well. I don't sit home wallowing in depression. I go to work everyday. I go to church, and I also take in foster kids. I know this is just a season, and things will turn around, but at times one can really just feel down. i'll pray for you as you pray for me. Enjoy the Holidays and your family. The devil is a liar and his purpose is to make us miserable.

    Curious about others goals...

    Starting weight 243. Current weight is 198. Goal weight is 165. Been at a plateau for 2 months and don't kniow how to move from here. I exercise twice a day. 30 mins in the morning and 40 mins at night. I count calories, but I still eat about 1600 daily. I have had 6 fills and still no good restriction yet. Any comments or suggestions would be appreciated. Thaks. P.S. I was banded in January of 2010

    whining or excuses?

    I completely understand your lack of time. I am a single mom of two, and I am also taking care of two fosterkids right now (ages 1 and 4 months). I work full time as well. As someone previously stated, I wake up an hour earlier to get my exercise in. I usually do one of Leslie Sansones Walk Away the Pounds dvds. Its not easy getting up at 5 and I am tired, but I need to see the results. Start off doing 10-15 mins three times a week. You can pick up any one of her dvd's or any walking tape for about $10 at wal-mart or target. It will work out. Be blessed.

    When did you see a difference?

    I am with you here. I exercise five to six times a week for 40 minutes. I count every calorie i eat but i eat up to 1500 calories a day. I can say that I have lost lots of inches though. My clothes fit a lot looser than before and I am thrilled about that. So any advice anyone can give I would be more than happy to listen.

    Just had my third fill today

    I did not get any restriction until my 4th fill and even then i could still eat more than the required amount. I just had my 6th fill and i am really restricted, I think too much so, so I am having a little unfill today. Everyone is different. It takes some of us a little longer to reach restriction. Then again, I would rather have too little restriction than too much because I haven't kept anything down in three days.

    I'm so lazy

    Hi, I know how you feel about being tired most days. I work full time and I am a single mom of 4 (2 biological and 2 fosterkids). Their ages go from 14 to 2 months. I am up at 5:30 AM and don't get to bed until about 11 PM. I say this to tell you that i understand about exhaustion and to let you know that i just started to exercise myself. I went to wal-mart and brought one of those recumbant bikes for about $100, and I love it. I started out about 15 minutes a day now I do 20 minutes. I will keep adding on 5 until i get to 45 minutes, but i am not rushing. The exercise actuually makes me feel better and gives me more energy. Take care of yourself .

    Lost 39 pounds(!!) but I don't get it?

    Hi fabulous@fifty I felt the exact same way this morning. I was getting undressed to get in the shower, and I was like "Dang, you still look fat". Then I came to work this morning, and had four people tell me how good I look, and ask me how much weight I lost. I guess we cannot see ourselves the way others see us, and this is how we sometimes started to gain the weight in the first place. I cannot see it, but others can, so that helps me alot. Praying that my eyes will be opened, and that I soon will see it too.:thumbup:

    Hi my name is Kim and I was banded on 01/28/10. I have lost 30 pounds, and I am still wearing the same clothes as well. I was under the misconception that for every 10 pounds you lost you dropped a pants size. Not for me. I was disgusted as well but am happy to see that I am not alone. I am grateful for the weight loss and thrilled for yours as well. We must not get discouraged but continue ahead. Like gingerjane said, by summer our clothes sizes will be dropping, and we will be complaining about how much money we have to spend on new clothes each month lol.

    Anyone being Banded 30th Jan 2010

    :tongue_smilie:Hi ladies, I was banded on 01/28/10 and have only lost 10 pounds since then. I am now on pureed foods and wondering if I am intaking to many calories. The weight loss seems to be slow, but i am not exercising as of yet. My port side is still sore and can be a bit uncomfortable. I was hoping to lose 60 pounds by June, but we will see. Take care and keep in touch. Maybe we can help each other with support and ideas about food. Do either one of you have any idea how many calories we should be having to lose weight.
  15. I am 9 days post op and I had diarrahea up until I started on stage three. I also feel full rather quickly but if I see food I still want it. I am not hungry in between meals, it is just the thought of the food being there that makes me want to eat it.

    Regrets

    I am 9 days post op and I have absolutely no regrets. I could lose the weight without the band, but I could never keep it off. As I have heard said over and over again on this board, the band is a tool and not a magic cure. I still have to make the right food choices and exercise. At least now I know that with God's help and the band, once I lose the weight, I will never gain it back again.:thumbup:

Where are you having surgery? Pomona, New Jersey 6.) Who is your doctor? Samir Patel 7.) Insurance or self-pay? Prayerfully Insurance. Waiting 4 approval. For those of you who believe in prayer, pray that I get approved. 8.) What was your deciding factor? For one, my daughter came home and told me that she got into an argument with a kid, who stated that's why your mommy is fat. Also, i am tired of getting dressed in the morning or trying on clothes and keeping my eyes closed until all my clothes are on so I don't hav to c myself in the mirror.
