I had my mother bring me a cup of coffee to the hospital, and stopped on the way home for another. I have it with french vinalle creamer and splenda. I do add up the calories and add them to my daily count. I had surgery 2 years ago, and have lost 70 pounds so far.

You look awesome. How did you do it? I can't get rid of this last 30 pounds. It is sooooo hard.

Hearing A Lot About Hair Loss?
kbklassykimb replied to kittylove32's topic in PRE-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I am sad to say that their isn't very much that you can do but wait. Everyone's hair reacts differently, and some people don't lose any. I wasn't one of those people. I eventually had to cut it all off, and just wait for it to grow back. It took about year, but it is coming back thicker than before. P.S. I lost 70 pounds, and I think the hair loss was worth it. If I had a chose to do it again, I would. -
It took about a year for my hair to get back to its pre-surgery state, but it does go back.

Met Goal This Morning - 14 Months Out!
kbklassykimb replied to Allison0927's topic in Weight Loss Surgery Success Stories
Isn't that last 25 pounds something else? I have the same amount until I get to goal, and can't seem to lose any more weight. I have been stuck for 6 months. I will keep plugging away though. Sooner or later it's got to come off. -

kbklassykimb replied to CherBee's topic in LAP-BAND Surgery Forums
Thank you for posting some of the negatives of converting to the sleeve, I never see any of them. I was debating, but I think I will keep my band. -

Congratulations!!!!!! This is not an easy journey, but a well worth one. Be blessed!!!! -
Bad days are still blessed days if you are still alive. There have been times when I have felt down and alone, and a post from someone here gave me the strength I needed to move forward. I thank God for them and you, and yes for this lapband forum. Not only do we have bands, but we have other real life issues, and some of us unfortunately have no one else to talk to. So in saying that,God uses who and what he chooses to bless others. I hope all of you have a magnificiently blessed day!!!!!!

Hi, my name is Kim and I am still here, and still believing God in this journey. I am so happy for your weightloss, and know that you feel wonderful. I have lost 60 pounds, and still struggling to lose 30 more, but I know I can do all things through Christ who strenghthens me. I was banded in January of 2010.

I'm in south Jersey, and only have two of mine....lol

We are in the same boat. I should be a size 4 by now since there is soooo much I can't eat. I guess I find a lot of good substitutes.......lol

Any kind of meat except fish or chicken really juicy and cut really small. No fruit or cereal.

What I miss the most is the ability to drink an ice cold pepsi. Man, I didn't realize the enjoyment I get from that. I also miss the ability to eat a cheeseburger and fries, or pizza. I would not choose to give back the 70 pounds I have lost for anything, but I do miss the ability to eat as before. I just ate to much of it...lol
-
Absolutely!!!! Like you though, I don't do it everyday, and I get right back on the bandwagon afterwards.

What is the rationale behind no caffeine?
kbklassykimb replied to SarahStLouis's topic in LAP-BAND Surgery Forums
My doctor stated that caffeine makes you hungry. I still drink it though; not in soda but in coffee. I have about two 20 oz cups of coffee a day. I no longer drink soda. I have lost 70 pounds since January of 2010, so I don't know if that is good or bad. r -
You are hillarious.

I switch my exercise up a bit. I do the bike for 60 minutes everyday. I then do the elliptical or treadmill for 30 minutes. I don't do a lot of strength training, but I did buy a kettle bell and a dvd, and I do that twice a week for 30 minutes. I haven't lost weight fast but I am losing. I have lost 70 pounds since my surgery in January of 2011.

I am sorry to tell you that with some of us the hair loss is common with this surgery. I took all the Vitamins, even the ones especially for hair loss. I also got in at least 80 grams of Protein a day. My surgery was in January of 2010, and I have lost half of my hair. I just recently cut it all off to even it out, and brought myself a nice wig. I have lost 70 pounds in the process, so I do not regret any of it. Someone asked me was it worth it. My hair for the 70 pounds. I told them that I can always buy hair, but I couldn't always lose this weight.... LOL It will get better, but it will take awhile.
