im a 20yr old carpenter i live in nj, near the water where image is life. ive always struggled with my weight at age 12 i was 320 ibs i stayed at that weight till i joined high school football at the age of 16. during those next few yrs i lost a total of 70 ibs became the captin of the varsity football team and was happiest ive ever been. after graduation many family troubles started to arise, my father became and drug addict and tore my parents marrige apart. i then began packing on a extreme amount of weight within 6 months i went from 250 ibs to a massive 360. i realized that i had a probelm i started to go to the gym and would do good for a couple months and then go off track. any major bout of drama i would turn to food like a deadly crutch and i continued to put on more weight. not happy with myself or were i was going i decided to be proactive and get my weight under control before i become physically incapable or begin suffering complications do to the weight, so i had resently seen a commerical on the television about the lap band i called and set up a appointment with my doctor. In order to decrease this long story the insurance company gave probelms with paying for the surgery without going to a nutritionist, which i had to and i just finally had the surgery. i havent seen much change as of yet but i am completely motivated and eager to see how this lap band can help change my life.
