I "snuck" having WLS
BayougirlMrsS replied to chiquitatummy's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
Well I have been on both sides of this fence. In 2009 when I had the lapband placed at 232lbs (5'2") I told my (now) x husband (we were married 26 years), my two sons, daughter in law and a couple of co workers that i thought i could trust. Well my x went and told a few friends after they made comments that "chris's looking good". He said and i quote.... Well she's only losing weight because she had SX.....then, of course, others started to ask and I would say from diet and exercise... Which was true. But when i found out what he said and turns out the co works were saying the same things..... I had a person say.... Well i heard you had WLS.... So after that i was open about it. I found some support and a lot of judgment. Grant you it was back with WLS wasn't as well accepted as it is now. Awful comments from my x, x-friends, x-co workers.... and people in general...... Too skinny, i looked sick, i was lazy for having WLS, i thought i was better than them cuz i was skinny now, how people died from WLS, that i would lose all my hair....i could go on and on. So in 2017 my band slipped and was removed. I went on FB and told everyone. Six months later I moved out of state to where no one knew me except my husband and four of his co workers. When i moved here i was 143lbs.... over the next 2.5 years i put on 30lbs. So i decided to do a revision.......It was not covered by insurance. I was going to crossfit 4 days a week and trying to lose for pending wedding in Sept, 2019. So i laid the groundwork....... Told my co workers i had a hernia (true, Hiatal) and it needed to be fixed (still truth). The weight loss started and they just thought it was from dieting for the wedding (still true). I went in on Wednesday and was back at work on Monday. Still, the only person that knows is my husband. Didn't tell sons, family, friends (not even best), or co workers....... THIS IS 100% BETTER. No comments, no snarky looks, no having to explain anything. Now i'm 120lbs and you know NOT ONE PERSON has said.... You look sick, you are too thin, you are lazy, .... etc. Not one person said i would die from hernia sx..... I'm 100% team.... keep your mouth shut....... Even if you tell just one "friend".... it will get out, especially if its a girl. Us bi*ches like to gossip. -

All the things others said...... + increase in sex drive. Confidence in knowing that I can do and fit in almost anything. Also, the way others treat you..... People can say all they want that "fat" people aren't discriminated against.... but we all know that's a bunch of bull cr*p...... When i was "large" people would turn the other way. I could be on crutches, caring a baby and trying to open a door (over exaggerating)... and no help. Now walking down the street, men go out of their way to help.... open doors, help with car issues, offer to help with groceries.... etc. People look at me and not my size... I felt like i was always being "examined"... -
OMG.... i'm so sorry for your loss.

I know you guys all have seen the ad's for Dr. Squatch soap. Maybe you thought, hmmm I wonder. My friend order the starter bundle and the company accidentally sent two sets. When she told them they said.... Just keep them. So she gifted my husband with a bar..... OMG Alpine Sage was the one we choose. It smells so good. You guys, they ALLLLL smell so good. The soap is so creamy and lathers up sooo good.... I just bought 6 bars for him to try and I'm gifting all the men in my life with some. Do yourself and your "partner" or future "partner" a favor and get some.... I will let you all know what the new sent Wood Barrel Bourbon smells like..... Can't wait
-
it's my favorite...... I have to know as soon as you get it.... OK
-
I love the Alpine Sage..... omg... not sandy or gritty at all.... I have a thing about feet.... Gross feet make me want to barf...... my x had horrible feet.... So when I started dating Tim I asked him.... how does your feet look? He said great I get pedi's all the time. So I married him. He and I go every 4-6 weeks and have hands & feet done. He used to have trouble with ingrown toe nails... not anymore. I don't get a pedi but like 4 times a year... I have really great feet. I get my nails done and change my toe polish to match. ALL MEN SHOULD GET PEDI'S DONE!!!!!!

Yes.... this is what i'm saying. My husband and I shower together every night. and this is the creamiest, most lathery (if that's a word), smell amazing soap.

What are some chain restaurant or FF restaurant items tht are Sleeve friendly on regular diet?
BayougirlMrsS replied to Tim C's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I'm going to assume this is not an everyday thing. Only because FF is garbage food.... When we eat garbage we look like garbage... JMT. But if I have to chick fa la is not a bad choice, I have eaten the beans with a side of meat from Taco Bell, The fish off of the fish fa la at MD, baked potato or chili from Wendy's, the tuna from subway or the meatballs (yes most places will let you just by a side of either). Unwich from Jimmy Johns. Those are a few off the top of my head -
Going to be saving a lot of money on Food, booze and toilet paper!
BayougirlMrsS replied to Tim C's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
