Learning to eat after a fill is a trial and error situation. Things that you are able to eat before you many not be able to after. I learned this with fill 5 and a bowl of Grits. I ate them every AM. I would just say, for the first few day after a fill, be extra careful. I try to have coffee in the am because i find it help me be able to eat Breakfast. If i happen to get stuck in the am, i normally try to drink something hot, but it doesn't always work.... The reason you are still not able to get things down is probable because it was the first thing you ate and its at the bottom so everything it piling up on top. If this happens to me... and i know some of you will get upset, but i have to throw it up. I fix a shot glass with the following: half Water, lemon juice, & meat tenderizer. I shot it down and then run for the bathroom. It will all come up. Depending on the time of day it occurs, i will take some liquid Aleve or Advil and got to bed... but if's early in the day, i still take the liq pain med and just have a smoothie. In the almost 4 years, i have never went for an unfill. If, the problem persist then i would go to the doctor. -

Personally i think it never goes away.... After almost 4 years, i still catch my self eating too fast. Mostly when im not paying attention to what im doing. Mrsto is correct with everything she said. When i first started, i sat at the table with my baby plate and baby fork I didn't read, talk, or watch tv. I concentrated on every single bite. I made sure the bite was no bigger than the nail bed of my pinky finger. I took my bite.... Put down my fork..... closed my eyes and really concentrated on what i was eating.... thought about what i was tasting... different spices.. etc. After i was finished chewing i swallowed. Then cut my next bite. and repeated. I eat all my Protein first then veggies then starch... if i was still hungry. im including what i got from my dr. Of course you must follow what your doc says. Im just sending in case your doc didn't give you anything. Best of luck.

wonderful news..... happy happy joy joy ... for you -
my first year of banding i mostly lived on cheese. Laughing Cow and Crunchmaster multi grain crackers.... I also did the Rotel cheese dip.... see below for recipe: Just remember to watch the intake of cheese.... too much and you may need a softener.... lol 1 block (32 Oz. Block) fat free Velveeta Cheese 1 package (8 Oz. Package) fat free Cream Cheese 1 can (10 Oz. Can) Rotel 1 can (10.75 Oz. Can) no sodium Cream Of Mushroom Soup 1 pound Extra lean Ground Beef OR turkey (or A Combination Of Both) Brown ground beef or turkey (or both) in a pan over medium heat and set aside. Cut up the Velveeta and cream cheese into cubes and place into a crock pot. Pour in the Rotel and the cream of mushroom soup and stir ingredients together. Place the crock pot on low setting for an hour, letting the ingredients meld. After about 30 minutes, add the browned meat and continue to let cook, stirring as needed.

call her down next time..... Look at her in her face and say: Aunt (insert name) what you just said was very hurtful and unsolicited The next time i want or need your opinion on MY weightloss... Ill ask, until then please keep them too your self. This is my journey and not yours. My husband gets on me all the time about speaking my mind..... I tell him that if no one ever stands up to these types of people they will think it's ok and will continue to hurt others. NOT ON MY WATCH....

Saw an Ex-boyfriend Yesterday
BayougirlMrsS replied to PrettyThick1's topic in Weight Loss Surgery Success Stories
arn't those meeting just the best.... When some one you liked or crushed on sees you and drools all over him self.... lol... Happened to me at the Lowes two weeks ago. Walked pass him and this time his wife (she HATES me) was not with him. Said hello in passing.... He walked a bit then made a turn and came found me... I happened to look freaking fabulous that day... :D Pretty... im so proud of you for standing your ground. If he treated you like crap before... he will do it again. My saying on getting back with an ex...... It's like reading a book over, expecting a different ending... Never happens. -
No Grits for me... they come up every time. Some times i can take a bite... (one) of cooked grits.... but NEVER NEVER NEVER instant grits

Is this normal pre-op?
BayougirlMrsS replied to Drea_M's topic in PRE-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
pretty much the same... but no 6 month wait for me either. I just had to show that i had tried diet for the past ... so i got my WW weight in's and i was good. I also had no co morbids so no losing weight for me either. In fact, i gained the 10lbs i had just lost with WW back to qualify for LB... When i started looking in to it i had just finished a 6 months WW diet... Lost 10lbs... Realized that i had to weigh 223 to qualify and i was at 213.... gained the 10lbs back and started the process.... went to the heart dr. he did all the normal test, did the sleep study, did the NUT visits (2), RN visit, pcych visit (1). Swallow test... My doctor compiled all the results and submitted them together as a packet with my surgery date..... Approved first time out.
