@@TLW I would ask him what type? what does it look like? how long will i have to wear it? This is just my observation being on this site for 7 years.... the best "end" results have been when a GOOD compression garment was warn. It's kind of like a bra, if you want you girls to stay up and not look at the ground, you wear a good support bra. The garment help keep that stomach tight and in place. Plus i found it help with discomfort. @@TLW Did you asked your PS? He/she should put one on you in the operating room after surgery. Mine did. His office fitted me with one before and i wore it 24/7 for 6-8 weeks. I only took it off to bath. When i did i would put it to wash and dry and put it right back on. Mine had bra type snaps and a zipper down each side and crotch snaps. Like the pictures attached I think it's very important to have the best compression garment you can get

that is a very interesting proposition and as a person who works with data and metrics, I'd really like to see the data for failed lap bands and review for commonalities. @@Alex Brecher, what do you think about some data analysis? Not just for bands, but for all surgeries? It would be good to know.... but for it to truly be accurate, the people asked would need to be completely honest. And we all know that won't happen. They will not take and responsibility to the demise of there band. They will say... Its the bands fault, move on to another WLS and fail there too. Like i said before.... when i have had problems it was because i contributed to them... I ate the wrong thing, i ate too fast, i ate and didn't chew well enough.... See, my band it just the tool... it there to do a job and im the person working the tool... it's not working me.... Its not making me eat the ice cream, chips, candy.... Im doing that. But others can't seem to look with in and say, I DID THIS... Chris

@ CONGRATS.....!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Your doing great. I remember an experience i had at the beginning of my WL journey. In New York and company looking for a shirt... (not jeans) i was wearing shorts, but we were going out that night and needed a shirt. Me: hey jim grab me a pair of jeans to try on so i can see what this shirt will look like with jeans Jim: what size Me: 12-14..... grabs paints, put said paints on... cool the fit. Jim: those jeans look nice, why don't you buy them (mouth drops, because a) he complimented me he offered for me to buy something) Me: OK... then i see that its buy one get one free..... So i say, ill get these and a "goal" pair. Size Me: Look for a size 10.....looking looking looking Jim: why do you want a size 10? Me: i want a smaller size to aspire to fit in Jim: (holding pants) say... but these are a 10 Me: In the middle of the store.... say: Shut the F*ck up!!!! Anyone that knows me... can see me saying this in the store. I was soooooo excited... so i bought the 10's and a size 8.... Which of course i wore the dog crap out of, but now they fall off..... Whoop Whoop... Im now a size 5

I'm perfectly happy with my band. sorry for the people that isn't. and i hope you luck. My SIL had her first band in Mex and had to have it removed. Then a second band her in La. She lost but figured out how to eat around it. So two years ago she got the GB and ..... you guessed it, she is gaining her weight back again. So sometimes it's not the WLS, but the person... JS

@@PorkChopExpress Do your research.... and get multiple consults if you can. I had my TT (hip to hip) done feb 2012. I LOVE the way it came out... He did exactly what i told him to do. He made a very low incision, did lipo on my back and flanks, got rid of my FUPA. Now is the scare perfectly straight... No, but who cares...

@@electronicart Congrats Jackie..... i wish there were more of us still on this site. I get so angry with the GB and Sleeve people bash the band. I'll be celebrating 7 years Nov. 10. I like you am sooooo happy i did the band. I hope and pray that i get to keep her forever. Wishing you continued success... Chris

@@futureskinnybtch @@jhayden1 I was banded november 10, 2009.... so it's been a while. Remember girls.... this will pass i promise. Trust in the process. Don't fall off the wagon.. Keep with what your dr says to do. This site use to be for only LB patients when i first got here. Then it switched to all WLS. So you have to look for the LB post... there are some oldies but goodies in here.... simply do a search above. There are some of us "old-timers" left... no many as they got tired of hearing all the crap from GB and Sleevers bashing the band. PM me if you have questions and ill be happy to answer with my experiences. Good luck and remember...... You will get out of the band... What you put in

a very large amount of people get gallstones after WLS. It has something to do with losing weight. I had them before WLS... Gallstones accrue with you either gain or lose weight at a fast pace. Go up to the top and do a search for gallstones... you should find a few posts

@@mb_11 I would still do more research. Have you looked into True results in houston? I have had a few friends go there.

@@mb_11 Its only 2.5-3 hours Drive... I would do the Dallas option. Plus if you know your date far enough in advance a Southwest flight to and from is only like 200 bucks. My sister in law had LB surg there and had a great experience, but when she started having issues it became a problem. No doctor in the states would see her. I had to talk my dr into seeing her, which he did as a favor for me. She ended up having it removed and another band put in, then that one taking out and having GB.... which she is now gaining all that weight back too. Ughhh. Good luck with what you choose

@@dvons Absolutely..... it all about what you put into it. If you follow the rules and do what your supposed to... so will your WLS no matter which one it is. I have seen first hand weight gains with all of them... but i have seen success with all of them too. Like you said....complacency is the root of all evil....

@@LisaMergs I feel your pain... Im 5'2 , starting weight 230... bra 44H..... current weight 125-130 bra... 34H!! What the hell, i thought i would loose some cup size... but nooooo. And its not skin, they are still full. so now i have to buy large shirts and have the sides taken in or they look like a tent. I still want a reduction and lift, but im going through a divorce and can't afford it... (unless i find a sugar daddy).... hehehehehe I did have a tt and love the results.

@@CHM I don't know.... before i gained i was a 6.5.... after the gain i was a 7.5-8.... now im back down to a 6.5.... You will get there

I'm glad i stumbled on this one. My granddaughter is 8 fixing to be 9 and in the past couple years she has put on a lot of weight. She is at 95lbs. She also has scoliosis really band and had back surgery in June (doing great). But she is still gaining. Her mom, (DIL) and my son are both RN's and are at there wits about what to do. She is very active playing soccer, and dancing classes. Im going to share this with them... She already goes to Children s for her back... hopefully they can recommend her to what you suggested.
