absolutly @@Redmaxx I do the same, joke around and have fun. We use to have a lot of fun here. And rarely did any one get truly upset. I for one own when I miss speak or even think i may have hurt someone's feeling. I will be the first to say Sorry and lets agree to disagree. And all WLS patients should listen to their doctor.... Now if something just doesn't sit well with me... i will of course come here and ask and see what people have to say. But the most important thing is that i listen to MY body.

Well said ssze. And you are correct just because a person has been around a long time doesn't mean they have all the answers. And I welcome a fresh view point Paradise thanks for staying Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App

Well I don't know what you're reading but I personally went to the other site it's confusing as hell and if you don't agree with the mediators they simply just delete your comments without a reason. What comic relief are you talking about I don't see anything funny on this site right now that would deserve being called comic relief. This is the site for people who want to come here and ask questions and hopefully get answers without being ridiculed. I guess I'm just one of the people who didn't drink the Kool-Aid and follow the so-called leaders I'm glad that I can think for myself and make my own choices Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App

No if you will go back and read through a lot of the post it had nothing to do with the fact that they bought something I've been on the site since 2009 and I've never bought a single thing from here. The ones that were banded were breaking the rules and some of the others asked to be removed and when he wouldn't remove them they got ugly and so he banned them per their request Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App

Sabotaging myself?
BayougirlMrsS replied to Hoping052017's topic in General Weight Loss Surgery Discussions
What she ^^^^ said. When you go to the Shrink.... the most important thing is to be completely honest with He/she and with yourself. Quite a few years ago i wrote a letter to my self.... saying how i felt about me and my life. It help me and still does. So every so often i go back and read it to remind myself where i was, where i am and where i want to be -
Frenchie you are certainly entitled to your opinion. After all it's an internet forum. But so am I, I agreed with Alex on some of the bans.. Not all, but some. But for you to say that "All the good truly helpful vets are now at Obesity Help happily having real discussions without being called a bully for it". I beg to differ, there are still some amazing people still here. They just don't go around insulting people all day and flapping their Peacock feathers saying..... Look at me, look at me. Pretending to be Gods gift to WLS. I went to that "other site" to look around and decided i've been here since 2009. It's where i choose to stay. I try to give the best advice i can and keep my mouth shout when i don't have anything nice to say. Sounds like your upset that he didn't ban you so you could go to OH and say.... He banned me too.... I would say, if you like it there, stay there. Be where you feel most comfortable. Good luck with you WL journey. I wish you the best.

@Dusty_S @crnpwallick i promise you can do it... Just get back to what you know works. Start over, do the 1 week liquid, 1 week puree, 1 week soft, etc.... Reset your band... it can be done.

I would suggest not eating after say.... 7pm and avoid high acid foods like tomatoes and sauce. Sounds like you have a pretty good grip on it except for this one thing. Let us know how it goes.

well that's good.... glad you are feeling a little better. I know I would get dog tired around 2pm everyday. This lasted for about 2 weeks after. The restlessness may be nerves.... worried about if you did the right thing... I know I did. Worried if i was going to fail at this too. But it all went away. You should start felling better soon. As soon as the weight starts to come off... and it will.... you will feel less anxiety.

Nope..... no bread, no rice, no girts, and no certain pasta.

@@tonyyy normal It took a few weeks for me not to be tired. As far as normal. I never didn't feel normal. For me my life have never been the same. When I started losing weight my whole life changed. My husband was never supportive of my decision to have LB. the more I lost the more distant we became. This is why we are now getting a divorce after 26 years of marriage. As far as the eating. Nothing is ever the same. It's a whole new way of life. I watched everything I eat and how I eat it. I never weighed or logged anything. It just never worked for me. That's not to say it won't work for others. I followed the rules and exercised my ass off. I'm courious as to what your meaning about "normal "

Time after referral
BayougirlMrsS replied to lili94's topic in General Weight Loss Surgery Discussions
@lili94 @victoriak419 @bekah7482 My suggestion to you all is to get definite answers and requirements from your insurance first. I had UHC at the time of my surgery and I was required to have a 40BMI. This was because I had no Co Morbids. I was lucky as I had my mentor Paula that I worked with to guide me. When I first started thinking about the LB Surgery my BMI was just under 40. But because I know already that I didn't have any other issues that I would not qualify. So before I even went to the seminar i put on 10lbs to make sure I was at the 40BMI. I know your thinking... Wow you gained weight to get the LB....Yes I did and I would do it again and again if i had to. I gained 10 to lose 100. I also used my GYN visits to show a progression in weight over the years, my history from Weight watchers. After I knew I had the weight I needed I signed up for the seminar. They gave me the packet to fill out and all the question I needed to call and ask my insurance. (which I know because Paul had told me) But I did call anyway. Made my appointment with the DR, got in, filled out all of his stuff, weighted in.... 230lbs 40bmi right on the nose. They set up all of my other appointments.... NUT, Pchy, Heart, Swallow, sleep ap...etc. After all were done, they compiled all my results and sent with a surgery date to my insurance all in one packet. They said the reason they do this is so they can't say they didn't get something... it's all together. I got a call in one week. I Started looking into everything in Aug. First apt in Sept and was banded Nov 9, 2009. So my suggestion to you all.... if you have not been diffidently approved by your insurance, DON'T lose a lbs especially if you are on the cusp of the 40bmi with out co morbids. As soon as you do get the approval, then you can if you need too. My advice to you all..... Hope it helps -
Congrats.... goes to show you what hard work and determination will get you... You are an inspiration .... Keep up the great work

I tried to answer some of your questions in the above... I had a TT with muscle repair on Feb. 2012. I was back at work in 12 days. I do have a desk job so I sit most of the day. I was up and walking in two days. I slept in my recliner for about a week. Wore my compression garment for 6-8 weeks. I was swollen for about 6 months. -
