you look great..... Not that you asked my opinion... but, not feeling the plaid leggings with the dress....
-
Feeling Pretty In Pink today..... nice comfy warm Uggs.... hehe
-
I don't know.... they just never left. The first weight loss was 89lbs... they stuck around... now this one and 31 down.... still there. Blessing and a curse. I find they make me look larger than i am. but my husband loves them.... hehehehe
-
this is the one i really wanted... but it was a bit too boobielicious for a "family" wedding.
-
I did see them. My bottom half is a 6.... the the boobs are ... NOT... hehe I just got remarried Sept. 26th. This is the one i chose..... I lost another 10lbs after the last fitting and it was too big the day of the wedding in the waist area... If i had time i would have gotten her to pull the waist in and up.... but I was not even a month PO on my wedding day. Sleeve on 8/28/19... I was 153 in this pic.... now... 142 She also added the extra fabric in the boob area.... the girls were too out there in the company of family.... hehe We did a destination to Jekyll Island, Ga. It was beautiful.
-
#1 or the last one with the straps... just needs to be pulled up a bit. It makes your boobs look too far down on your chest....
-
Proud at the fact that my weight stayed the same..... I'll take that. 142lbs But i haven't poohed in dayssssss
-
Thanks girl.... you look pretty amazing. You could be one of my school friends (20+ years) Shanta.... My cup barely changed at all either time....
-
the entire time i had my band i never gave up soda. I didn't drink much of it... like a 20oz would last days. I couldn't give up the Dew... it was my addiction. In June, i just stopped.... don't know why. This was even before i got sleeved. It's been going on 5 months. Never thought i would be able to give up the Dew.... Winning!!!!

Any August 2019 people out there?
BayougirlMrsS replied to big_ange's topic in PRE-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I think the fact that im a ex-bander. I got here in 2009 at 232lbs. So i had a lot of years to learn to eat. gained 30lbs over the 2.5+ years i was with out her. So do the sleeve was kind of a continuation..... with a 2.5 year break... hehe I do follow the rules and i do portion my meals and only eat what i'm supposed to. I'm finding it hard to remember to slow my eating..... but i'm getting back there. as of today.....142.0......... down 31.5lbs -
My closet is full.... i have a hard time parting with clothes. I'm glad now i didn't get rid of my smaller clothes after band removal 2.5+ years ago (slacks size 4-6). I was this size back then. Then i put on 30lbs over that 2.5+ years. Sleeved 8/28/19 and im down 31.5lbs.... 142.0 this am... whoop whoop. I'm blessed to have a husband that loves to shop for/with me. He loves going to Dillards, Chico's, black/White... etc. It gives me such anxiety when i see those prices. But there is no use arguing with him over it, if he likes how it looks he's buying it... hehe. I love for him to come because i don't see clothes like most women. Like i said.... Mannequin shopper... hehe. And if it were up to me... i would buy $5 t-shirts..... I'm a.... See this shirt.. "only $2". lol. We went to NYC last july and again in Dec. we went shopping... and i go straight to the sales rakes. The prices were OMG!!! expensive. We went to one place and i saw this top and is says..... 299..... and i'm like... Cool. $2.99 sign me up. It was a piece of chaffon.. weighed about 2oz.... not kidding. So i go to the register and ask the girl how much because it was written messy.... she said.... 299.... i yell back at Tim and said.. It's only $2.99..... she looked at me and said.... no... it $299 .....i looked at her and said.... you have to be F**king kidding.... Yes, sometimes (who am i kidding, all the time) words just fly right out of my mouth.

I need all the help i can get..... I'm fashion-challenged. And i hate shopping. I hate trying on clothes. I just look for a mannequin i like and say.... give me all that..... hehe
-
Instead of donating to good will.. etc.... start a clothes swap with the people that go to your WL Center. Most places has a FB page.... Ask if anyone needs them. It's what i do and will do again when i clean out my closet.

You guys are too kind. I was talking to my hubby last night about a reduction. at my highest, i was a 44G/H... Now im a 34 G/H. lost a little in the boobs but not a lot. I was thinking i could use a Brazilian butt Lift..... hehe My favorite part of the loss.... is how my back looks. I didn't realize how bad it had gotten.... 30lbs makes a difference. But you both made my day.
-
I'm right there with you..... I can't see the WL in the mirror.... this is why i take pictures. This was week 1 at 173.5lbs, (liquid diet) and yesterday at 142lbs. Tomorrow will be 3 month PO

Lap band revision- how long did you wait?
BayougirlMrsS replied to Byrd0315's topic in Revision Weight Loss Surgery Forums (NEW!)
That is a tricky question. Some dr. will do the removal and revision at the same time..... but it all depends on what he finds when they open you up. Some times the scaring it too bad to do all at once. Some make you wait 3-6 months. Removal was a piece of cake. I had to have mine removed march 23, 2017. I was at 143lbs and had been there for 7+ years. So when they removed it, he would not do a revision because insurance didn't cover the removal and for sure would not cover a revision. Plus.... I didn't weigh enough. I'm 5'2". I searched tons of places and got the same response. I was about to head to Mexico for revision when i happen to find a dr. right here 10 mins from my work....... No, the insurance still didn't cover it and i was now at 173.5lbs and 31 BMI. But because i was a "revision" (2.5+ years later) and i was cash pay ($14k)... the sleeve was done 8/28/19. He said when he opened me up.... my stomach looked great. Very very little scarring. I did, however, have a hiatal hernia i didn't know about. Since i have lost 31.5lbs... and i'm sitting at 142 which is 1lbs less then when i had the band removed. The SX was the easiest i ever had. Zero pain and was back to work on Monday. -
Crazy personal question
BayougirlMrsS replied to Lynnbushea's topic in Gastric Sleeve Surgery Forums
when i first started my journey back in 2009 with the band. I was 232lbs with 44G/H boobs. Lost 89lbs and went to a 34H. My boobs stayed exactly the same, my band changed 10". Lost the band in 2017, had gone up to a 36H..... fast forward, revised to sleeve 8/28/19.....back to the 34H. Yes the sag a little, but the nips are still looking forward and not at my toes. -
How does the Sleeve fail? I had the band from 2009 till 2017. She slipped after a bad case of flu/stomach bug. The only unfill i had was when i had my TT. I was back at 10.5cc in her when she slipped. Till then i had zero problems. SW 232, removal weight 143. After much research and searching, i found a dr here where i live to do a revision (2.5 years later & 30lbs). I revised to the sleeve. I see people on here saying that the sleeve failed. How does that happen???? I mean i know how the band can fail..... erosion, slip, removing all the fill and going back to old habits. But how when its something that's permanent? Chris

If i had my way..... i would have kept my wonderful band

Banded back in 2009.... loved loved loved my band. She was removed in March of 2017 due to a slip caused by the flu/stomach bug. I knew when it happened... worst day ever. I love what the band taught me and with that knowledge I "only" gained 30lbs in the years after. But as I get older the ability to keep the weight off with diet and exercise and no WLS has been a huge battle. So 12 weeks ago tomorrow I had the sleeve done (8/28/19). SW this time was 173.5, Yesterday at dr. office for check up 143.0. I do see and feel the differences between the two. I feel hunger with the sleeve vs the band. I can eat stuff just now its 2-3 bites and done. I don't have port pain. The left-arm pain when full is worse. Of course, the no fills. I only had 1 unfill due to the TT (tummy tuck) I really wanted the MGB, but, my dr. doesn't do them. Before i found him i was going to head to Mexico($8800). But, i did the pros and cons and went with the sleeve here.... my dr is only 10 min from my work. It was the knowing if anything went wrong i was only a call away. I didn't weigh enough for the GB and had no other issues. So i was self-pay $14k. I will tell you the removal of the band was not hard at all. But the sleeve was by far the easiest sx i ever had.... (2) c sections, gallbladder, hysterectomy, band, TT, band removal and now sleeve. The RN yesterday said she wished all her patients were like me..... hehe.... She said the band taught me well. I miss all the band members that use to come here......

When to schedule- desperate for advice about recovery time
BayougirlMrsS replied to boymom860's topic in General Weight Loss Surgery Discussions
I didn't have the GB, i had the sleeve with Hiatal hernia repair..... That was a Wednesday and i felt like i could go back on that Friday.... I went back that Monday. Probably the easiest SX i ever had. I had zero pain, i was up walking with in hours of the sx. The key is to move and not just sit around. -
I feel great!!!!! Few things i noticed differently. With the band i was never hungry. I find with the sleeve i get hungry but after 2-3 bits... done. Recovery was soooooo much easier. I was up and walking with in hours. One good day of rest at home and i was good to go. Zero pain, not even joking. I had no pain. My dr said even with the hernia repair he has never seen someone take no pain meds. That was on a Wednesday and i sware i felt i could go back to work (desk job) on Friday. But i didn't, i went back on the Monday. I had no issues with incisions. It was hands down the easiest SX i ever had. I went yesterday for my 12 week check up and I'm down 30.5lbs. I'm at 143.0...... Whooooooop. This is what i weighed on the day my wonderful band was removed. I found the band was a more gradual change in diet vs sleeve which is wake up and you can't eat.... Well, of course, your on the "special diets". I had a week before of clear liquid, clear liq the week of, then week of full liq, week of puree/soft.... then reg. diet. I'm finding the some of the food i couldn't eat with the band are now foods i can't eat with the sleeve. Rice is a no go. Bread i can do one or two bites if it's toasted well, thin and whole grain (daves powerseed). Potatoes only if they are mashed or baked reallyyyyyy well. Protien is a bit harder to get down..... Chicken, steak..... fish is working good. This sx i told no one and i am soooooo happy i did. No one to monitor me, watch me, ask why im not losing fast enough... or too fast..... Or asking me why... Your already small... uhgggg. Now i just say im dieting and doing crossfit. which is true. None of my kids, family, friends or co works know. I'm out of state from my kids, family and friends so it's pretty easy. My co workers i just told i was having hernia sx..... which was true also.
