I regretted telling people when I had the band...... I have never regretted not telling about the sleeve... I agree with @Cheeseburgh I consider it personal and private. -

I have had some pretty good S*X in the past and currently.... like 2:30 this morning... hehe I have to try on my swim suits and take pics.... i can't tell what i really look like. PINEAPPLE juice guys it works... Look for the "Cold Press" in the produce section. I drank a butt load of this one.

I've had some pretty good sx in the past and i would have to say... Partial hysterectomy was a great one.... My TT was wayyyyyyyy back in 2012...... don't worry you guys the swelling goes away... just keep wearing the compression. I drank a sh!t ton of pineapple juice. I want to say a good 4 months before my stomach was flat... SX was March 2012 and by July i was rocking a bikini for the first time in over 20 years. My husband and i were talking about a BL the other day and i thought.... man it would be nice to have them high and tight.... but i don't want the pain and the chance of them coming out all funky.... so, for now, they are what they are.... a 32G.... Someone needs to start a topic on ....... These old bones..... where we can all gripe about a$$ bones and such.... hehehehehe

Unsolicited (sleeve pt also).... but i found that just eating the sauce was satisfying for me. My husband and I were invited to a friend's house and they cooked bolognese. I only at the about 4 bites of sauce.... I do the same with things that one should or normally eat rice with... Beans, stew, gumbo... I just leave the rice out. Rice is nothing but a filler. I do eat a bite or two of cauliflower rice here and there... like last night. I cooked roast with carrots and potatos....instead of rice... i ate two bites of cal. rice. It was just as good. a couple of nights ago my husband cooked stuffed peppers... made with caul. rice.... delish... i am still eating on that one pepper... in fact, i brought the last 1/4 to work today. -

HELP - Drank Water w/ Meals Post Op
BayougirlMrsS replied to SamDS's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
you should not be drinking with meals is like the #1 rule. The way to stop..... don't have it on the table... and i say table because its the only place she should be eating. Even when eating out i tell the waiter to not even bring it to the table.... Because out of habit, you will pick up the glass and you will drink... it's not that you want to or even need to you just will. Put a timer on your phone after you swallow your last bite. You want to make it work... do your part and follow the rules. Portion your food (i personally use 1/8cup), cut your food in tiny bites (everything), take one bite, put down the fork, let go of the fork, place hands under your butt/thighs, chew each bite for at least 20 seconds, swallow, wait and let go down (for me its' about 10 sec), assess my full triggers (for me it's left shoulder pain), pickup fork take another bite... repeat..... if you finish your meal, set timer for 30 min., get up and put dish in sink/dishwasher. This is when i normally start prepping a lunch meal for the next day for me and my husband (if he is in town). Start cleaning the kitchen... by then the timer goes off and i have a drink. -

Vsg to mgb?!
BayougirlMrsS replied to Builtbetter78's topic in Revision Weight Loss Surgery Forums (NEW!)
I agree with @catwoman7 Without the head work and getting to the bottom of why you do what you do.... No WLS is going to help in the long run. and defiantly going to Mex won't help as their only concern is getting the money. I was headed down there before i found my dr. here. They never asked if i had any type of counseling before. The only concern was booking me in and getting the money. I had counseling with the band and sleeve.... A lot of my eating came from wanting to control something.... My ex-husband controlled everything and food was the only thing i had. Plus I had been sexually assaulted at a teen and didn't really realize how much it affected me. But people eat for different reasons... The MGB was what i was going to Mex for. Then i found a dr here willing to do the "revision" 10 min from my work. He doesn't do the MGB so the sleeve it was.... 8/8/19. Mex MGB was like 8800 i think.... the sleeve here cash pay was 14k. But i factored in the time off of work, travel and the peace of mind that my dr was only 10 min from work and 20 min from my house... -

Anyone else NOT have a pre-op diet?? Mine is day before only. 🤷🏻♀️
BayougirlMrsS replied to newchange16's topic in Gastric Sleeve Surgery Forums
With the band i had to do a 2 week diet... one week of full liq and one week of clear. Than after the reverse... one week clear, one week full, one week puree, one week softs and then reg. With the sleeve it was the same, but i only had to do the one week clear because my BMI was only 30. -
Best 14K i ever spent.... and would do it again and again

I did the same thing when i had the band sx in 2009. I my wonderful friend Paula had had Band sx and she was a great confidant and support system. At first the only people that knew were my now x husband, kids, a few close friends and one or two co workers..... Well that didn't last long.... It, of course, got out about the Band... so then i just told everyone that asked. I hated getting the looks and the OHHHHH. This time.... it has been wonderful not getting the "looks or the OHHH".
