When ever your ready. The pain in your port area is just the healing process... we all went thru that and still do. Every now and again, you will have discomfort in your port area. I'm 17 mts out and still have port pain.

That is all well and good..... but this is not "Bible time".... take it some where else. If it makes you feel better, when you go to your next Prayer meeting talk about it there..................Follow the Bible and stop Judging..... Step down from the soap box... Just an FYI: there is a high rate of divorce among-est people who get WLS............ I'm not condoning it, in fact, my input was to "stay put", but we are not her and we don't walk in her shoes.... Awkward..... this is a friendly site and people come here to ask questions about what is going on in their lives......... NOT to get Bible beat by someone who is consumed by what the "bible says"..... The Bible also says it's ok to own slaves and be a polygamous...... is that ok? I understand where you are coming from. My husband and i have been married for 20 1/2 years. He has been with me thru everything. When we got together i was a size 0-3.... over the years i ballooned up to a size 18. Never has he said anything to me about my weight, but it did effect our marriage. For the past few years before LB... we maybe had sex 2-3 times a year... yes you heard me right... a year. This was not all his fault, i could not stand my self and it did effect everything. He is 6'4" and is NOW in great shape, but he went thru a "fat" stage also. Thru the years i wondered if we would make it. Well we hung in and things are getting better. My confidence has gone up and the new found "sex-life" is amazing. We do still have our issues. I getting use to the attention that i use to get from men that disappeared for years... again. Oh, we still fuss and argue all the time.... but it is what it is. Everyone goes thru tuff times no matter if you had WLS or not............... im going to share something with you that has gotten me thru the years of doubt. My grandma told me this ....... you know what you have.., but you never know what you'll get. Every man has issues, don't trade one for the other. Ask yourself these questions: Does he hit me, do drugs, alcoholism, verbally abusive?...... If you answer no to all these, then stay put... Last year he and i took a weekend away, just the two of us and rekindled our relationship...... if you can, try this.. it might help. Best of luck to you....... and you need not apologize for awkward.... opinion are like a$$ holes.... everyone has one.

You can do it.......... Order the soup..... just don't eat the chunks... I was on vaca for one of my weeks of liquids.... Everyplace i went...i would say .. I think i'll have the soup. It became a big joke for the whole trip. Everyone was like... Chris what are you having? It will be all worth it in the end.

You shouldn't ..... not can't. I have to admit.. I still do drink carb drinks. Less than one a day. Now I can't eat and drink them at the same time. I have to wait at least an hour after i eat to take even one sip. sounds like you just got banded. Once you get more fills..... it will be harder and harder.

Maybe hint around and feel him out. I would say some thing like.... i have a friend that has had this surgery.. LB. Have you heard of it?... then fellow up with .. i'm been looking into it i i think it may be a good remedy for my weight issue... I'm coming to you because i value your opinion. You have to go in with all your ducks in a row..... This way he will see how important it is to you. Go in with a open mind and a open heart. Just know that you will have to tell him sooner or later. There is no way to hide it from him.... no way possible. If you wait till after he may feel like you don't trust him and it could cause problems. I wish you all the luck in the world..... God Bless
