    I?m so frustrated, discouraged HELP

That just goes to show you that everyone is different. I am at 5 cc in a 10 and cannot eat bread of any form. I have a little restriction. Restriction scares me though cuz I am the queen of sliming. I haven't lost much either. Only 37 lbs since dec 20 09. I have Polycystic Ovarian Syndrome that makes my weight lost slow. And Some ppl just lose it slower. You may need another fill or two. What does your doc say?

    Stress and the band

Yes when I get upset or stressed or nervous I do the same. I get extrememly tight and if I push it I will slime but that may be because I am the queen of sliming. I will get so tight water gurgles. I took a few moments to think about it and you know I decided that is just the band doing it's job. In the past when I would get upset or stressed I would eat so in my mind I am saying that the band is keeping me from emotional eating however I know it is frustrating not to be able to eat. Trust me it is the end of the fiscal year at my work and I haven't been able to eat much either because of the stress.

I am almost 7 months post op. I take a multivitamin, folic acid, iron (I've always been anemic), biotin(cuz my hair was falling out), liquid B complex(wasn't absorbing the pill...B12 is low), fiber chews, and calcium w D chews. It looks like I have a complete pharmacy on my desk...lol For someone who doesn't like to swallow pills I sure have learned how to. Are you pre or post op?

    Starting your Day Right!

I always love your blogs. You are so inspirational to me. I am guilty of living life in the fast lane which is probably why I am not satisfied with the amount of weight I have lost so far but like you said slow down, enjoy life...you are so right....it will come.

I hate the gym, I hate the gym, I hate the gym!!!

I am sorry you hate the gym. I love the gym....have always loved working out...it just makes me feel better. Ok...so now that you hate me too I just wanted to give you some suggestions. Try a group fitness class. My favorites are Body Pump, Spinning classes, and Zumba or any kind of dance class. Get a friend to go with you and just go have a good time and laugh. Another suggestion is pick a "program" and work towards a goal. It gives you something to focus on besides each step you are taking on that treadmill. Couch to 5k is a great program. Or set a specific goal and work towards it. Right now I am trying to cut down my time on my 5k. Each workout I am competing with myself to beat my last time. And when you beat your last time or amount of weights you do or amount of reps you do you will feel so good. Good luck!

    BodyBugg anyone?

Bodybugg is a calorie counter that you were on your arm. It measures how many calories you burn by using 4 different techniques. google it and you will see. J_bandRanger - The cost is very expensive...for me anyways....that's why I am trying to find out if it is worth it. AprilTX - Has your friend lost weight by using it?

    Feeling defeated

Hi guys, I am having a rough time and it doesn't help that I have a dr that doesn't seem to care. I had an appointment yesterday and for the 3rd time he told me that I was just an enigma to him. He called me a freak of nature last time. I am losing weight very very slowly. I knew I would lose it slower than most because I have PCOS(Polycystic ovarian syndrome) but I am creeping. Does anyone have any suggestions on helping me shed lbs a little faster...not way fast but 1-2 lbs a week? I am teetering between 33-36 lbs down since Dec 20, 2009. I have lost 22 inches though. I workout 4-5 times a week. I slime everyday and not always the same things...it is pretty much hit or miss but meat usually comes back up unless it is a good day or it is very very very moist like in some kind of sauce or ketchup or something. Any advise would be appreciated. I am just feeling defeated and asking myself why I had this done in the first place. I have more medical issues now than before surgery.:bored:

    Feeling defeated

Maggs, Thanks. My dr. is a jerk but the next nearest one is 2.5 hours away. That is just not feasible . I know it is good I am working out but I worked out all the time before surgery...did 1/2 marathons, triathlons, etc. It just takes time I know...THank you for the encouraging words and good luck with your surgery. Keep me posted on your progress Lose It - I know there are ppl out there that have lost less but dang it I want to lose more! Lol. I know I am averaging 6 lbs a month but it doesn't seem like it cuz 20 of that came off the week after surgery...I had a rough time with the anesthesia and had to go in for a 2nd surgery 3 days later and had nothing by mouth for 5 days but doing fine now. So I have basically lost 16 lbs since the initial drop and the frustrating thing is that I will go 6-8 weeks and not lose anything and then finally lose 4-5 lbs. Until those 4-5 lbs come off I am in agony stepping on the scales everyday and seeing no progress. I am trying to keep my chin up:) Thanks! I also am trying to eat only whole foods and very little processed food. Thanks for taking the time to comment on my blog...You guys are what gets me through!
