    This Is Restriction.

Just be patient and wait on that restriction!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!Please. I was like you and could not wait to fill some restriction. Now i have about 5cc in my 10cc band and I can't eat anything without feeling like I may be sick. I eat really small portions, and sometimes I have trouble eating low-fat yogurt. It is helping because since I got filled last month I have lost over 8 pounds. So be careful what you wish for. I sometimes wish I could eat just a little more, but I guess thats the greedy girl in me.

Not doing well with my band....

I really needed that boost of confidence mariecarmen. I have been struggling and the pressure of going on a cruise and having to put on a bathing suit is giving me anxiety. It sems as if I have forgotten the basics. I have to get back to the basics.....thank you and wish me luck!

    Feeling Discouraged..... :(

Ladies I know this sounds crazy but I can't wait until my next fill, while I dont want the "discomfort" or being too tight I definitely need more restriction. Some habits are hard to break...like wanting to eat when you're really not that hungry. I go for my second fill tomorrow and I will be joining the gym in February. My goal this year is to drop 30 lbs. Wish nme luck!!!!!!!!!

My port still hurts but I just had the surgery on 9/28/06. My scars itch like mad!!!!!! Is anyone experiencing this?

    Need advice from experienced bandsters

I am having the same problems as you, so don't worry. I just came from the dr's office and he told me that this is normal. The six weeks after the surgery is for healing and if you loose weight great, but if not don't get discouraged. I also was getting really worried because I don't have too much restrictions and can practically eat whatever I want, although I try not to. I have gained about 2 lbs. I am having problems with eating at night. During the day I am busy with school and working two jobs, but at night I often get the munchies. My first fill isn't until 11/9/06 so I have 3 weeks to go, and I probably will gain a few more pounds, but I will not get dsicouraged.:phanvan

Bjean, you are not alone since my surgery 9/28/06 I have gaiend three pounds and it is very discouraging. Yes, the desire to eat will return and with a venegance. i have been also struggling with getting in the proper amounts of liquids, and I have only had two BM since the surgery. So I am also annoyed. I go back for a post op visit Thursday, and i am dreading getting on the scale. I never feel any restriction while i am eating and I find that I can pretty much eat what ever I like. I have noticed that if I eat too quick I get a very uncomfortable feeling. So I am trying to hang in there. I have been told not to worry about the weight gain but I can't help it. So you are not alone in the struggle.

Congrats!!!!!!!! I have also been on pureed food for 4 days and no I dont have any restrictions as of yet. i have been told that this time is basically used for you to heal. I am having a difficult time not eating as well. i am able to eat pretty much anything. So I am in the same boat as you...but its not just you

    September Bandsters

Thanx TruBluSue I was getting worried, because my family was in town yesterday, and they cooked the typical southern meal. I was very tempted, but instead of my usual portions I only ate a small portion. When I began to feel full I stopped. Shortly after I got on the scale and gained 1.5 lbs back that I'd lost. I guess you are right. But I got to tell you I am one of those people who believe that the lapband will work for everyone.....except me, because thats just me luck.

    September Bandsters

I was banded on 9/28/06 and its been going well. I am still having pain where the port is located, but my problem is since the swelling is going down and my band is becoming looser there is no restriction, and sometime I start getting a little hungry. Well i am not sure if its actual hunger or head hunger? I am wondering when I get a fill will this hunger feeling go away? I need some help because i am worried that i will gain the 20 pounds that i have already lost.

    Newly Banded

Thanks for the advice. Today I am doing really good. I was up early and cooked breakfast for my family, and now I am relxaing having a protein shake. I know that i will have to deal with the pain at the port area but everything else, (except for the gas pain) has subsided. Any suggetsions for gas relief? I have been taking Gas X, i guess its working slowly.
