Hi everyone, I have never started a group before, but some others and I thought this was a good idea. Let's get a singles group together and get to know other people, from the standpoint of being friends or maybe sparking up some romances. If you are interested, just post to this board and we can contact whoever we want Here's a minimum of information to include: Age / Sex / Location: Length of Time Banded: Whether you are looking for friends, relationship or both: Children and ages: Do you want (more) children: Marital Status: Profession: ...... and anything else you want to add. Let's have some fun! Cassandra

Hi everyone, I just had my first fill Monday. Since then, I have been having diarrhea and stomach cramps immediately after eating! Has anyone else had this problem? Am I doing something wrong, or is this what life is going to be like from now on? Thanks for your help! Cassandra

Since we are at almost a year out, let's start looking at some stats for our team. What percentage of their total weight loss goal has everyone lost so far? Is the band what you expected? Is it working well or not? Are you having any troubles with things? Let's get talking about our current 1 year post-op bodies and see if we can't pick it up for year 2 of Band-Dom!!! I've lost 45% of my goal weight loss. The band is more difficult than I thought it would be, and I thought I would be close to goal by now. I think it is working and I'm finally at my sweet spot, which I enjoy. My next goal is to be at my final goal by this time next year  Cassandra

Pain Relief - Need some advice.
cassandra replied to davethesailor's topic in PRE-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I took liquid tylenol with the pain meds. The day after I was thinking, "What have I gotten myself into???" Sitting on a couch is awful, because you have to use your stomach muscles to get up. A straight chair or flat in bed with some pillows behind you is much better. Make sure you drink your Water so you don't get dehydrated. I promise it will pass in a day or two - it takes a little patience. By Monday you'll be feeling at least 80% of your normal self -
Please don't think I'm dumb, but I entered the wrong weight. I entered yesterdays. Today's correct weight is 224.8. Sorry!

It sounds to me like you are in starvation mode. I have been working with a personal trainer, and know that 1000 calories a day is nowhere near enough if you are working out that much. My workout schedule is very close to yours. I have been eating at least 1500 calories a day, and I'm losing 2-3 pounds a week. When your body goes into starvation, it holds onto every calorie and piece of fat it can, because it doesn't know when it will be getting more. Just make sure you are eating high quality proteins and veggies instead of getting those calories from cakes, desserts and sugary drinks. Try increasing your calories to at least 1200-1300 a day and try it for a week to 10 days, and see what happens.
