My first doctor's visit was on Jan. 23, 2009.  The receptionist submitted my request for surgery to Blue Cross/ Blue Shield.  The insurance company said I needed to be under doctor's care for 6 months before approval could be given.  I saw Dr. once a month for 6 months, approval was submitted to BC/BS and was approved within 2 weeks.  Yay!!!  surgery was scheduled for 1 month later.  I am now, 3 weeks and 5 days post surgery and I've lost 18 pounds.  I saw Dr. 1 week after surgery and next visit is on 23rd when he will fill band with saline.  I'm very pleased with the whole process.  Would recommend Dr. Anthony Pucci to anyone thinking of having lap band surgery.
