Its normal for it to feel hard, thats your access port site, you will always feel that. I had surgery June 15th, and my access site sometimes still bothers me, although my surgeon assured me that somehow this is normal. It takes some getting used to, but I think I have finally accepted taht I have a hard bump under the skin there that I have to live with. Hope you feel better! -
I have never had problems eating solids after my fills. My doc requires us to drink water and eat a container of yogurt before we leave the office after a fill. She said to be on liquids that day--but liquids just don't do it for me and I haven't had trouble. DONT BE NERVOUS!! Getting yourself into what they call the 'green zone' is our goal!! Good luck.

I had my surgery back in June, and my port still feels that way. My surgeon told me that it happens to some people that it is always uncomfortable and that it would be something I would have to learn to 'live with'. If you get some better advice, please let me know!
