okay.. What was the name of the website to track what we eat.. fit something.. I cant find it out of the 43 pages we have on here.. Getting to be a big thread YEA for all of the September Bandsters!!

spike I know where you are comming from.. I'm not a vegetarian per say but I am sooooo freaking pickey about what type of meat I will eat it is crazy!! It is not the oh poor animal thing(NOT TO OFFEND ANYONE).. I just dont like the taste.. period.... Dont like fish at all(yes I did try it)... not a crazy fan of red meat either... Pork.. ehhhhh... I love chicken though.. and after reading some posts about ppl not being able to eat chicken has me worried for when I am ready to have a fill.. I too have a hard time finding Protein and can really tell when my body is lacking (my feet get swolen)... I have been trying some of the protein powders and OMG they are really icky... The injury is really not for me.. I orderd the sample pack 1 van/choc/strawb/unflavor... Scared to try the choc... LOL :faint: So far I seem to like the EAS Advantage Carb Control Choc Fudge.. Yummm.. about the same price as slimfast 15g prot/ 100 cal/ 0 sug and the main thing already mixed up... yea!! Let me know if you run across anything please!!! :help: TTFN Stephanie

Dr Miranda told me to stay on clear liquids for a min on 3 day with a max of 7... If I choose on the 4th I can add a protien drink, drinkable yougart, thicker Soups like tomato, etc... By the 10th day I can try softer solid foods... If this makes any sense ..Keep in mind that I can only eat about 3/4 cup at a time and get hungry about 2-4 hrs later.. So far though.. for the first 3 days I did the clear liquid thing... on the 4th day I ventured a little when my DH and I went to souper salad and I tried some tomato based Pasta soup(no pasta of course) and 2 tbs of choc pudding.. YUMMM!!! Later that afternoon I WAS STARVING.. I mean I have never had my tummy hurt soooo bad.. Wend thru Taco Bueno and got a pintos/chees with sour cream.. That I had for lunch and dinner.. LOL LOVING IT!! Today so far I have tried some split pea soup I had in freezer mom made last time she was here, some spaghetti O's, and home made broc cheese soup NO BROC!! No problems at all.. Slow and EASY... I just cant eat very much at all!! I think tomorrow I might try scrambled eggs.... Been pretty careful to eat very very soft foods and will prob do so for the next few weeks... Hope I didnt confuse anyone... I tend to ramble on and on when typing... Sometimes not making much sense.. All I can say Is LOVING THE BAND!!! :dance: :dance: :dance:

The pain is really not that bad.. I am 5 days post op now and I am not in any real pain... To my left of the port is very tender.. maybe that is where the liver is located... And it hurts to bend over to the left a little.. But really guys it itsnt really all that bad.. anyone else have similiar? different? I really want to know.. Steph

I can't believe how fast this month is going.. I am so excited for everyone on thier upcoming surgeries... Today (4days post op) I feel much much better.... The nutritionist at Dr. Ortiz gave me a little different post op schedule that what I have been reading.... There is no mushy stage and after 3 days of clear liquids I can try other soft foods.. So far I just upgraded to thicker soups.. I'm scared to eat anything else.. I can't wait to hear about how everyone is doing!!! Steph

Hi all!! Just wanted to let everyone know that I made it home from Dr. Ortiz!! Everything went well although I didnt think to ask the dr how long my surgery took like JamsA did.. My husband said I was gone like 20 min so that is good... Now 3 days post op !! Wow where did the time go?? Today I feel bloated and cant really bend over much.. Not really in paing but unconfortable... I put what little abdominal muscles in shock!! LOL JamesA I am glad everything went okay... Didnt see you at all after the big day! Well I woke up way earlier than the scheduled alarm time... go figure... Flight leaves in about 3 hours now... I'm so anxious that I really cant feel my stomach growling (which I have pretty much gotten used to) LOL Just wanted to check the board one more time and say my final farewell.. Yikes I'm so scared, anxious, nervous, whatever!!!.. I leave for Dr. Ortiz office in the morning and surgery Monday.... I have been on the pre op diet for a week and done pretty well I think!! Dr. Miranda didn't give me a number of lbs I had to drop before the surgery.. Which makes me nervous too!!! AAAGGGGHHHHHHH!!!! It is happening way too fast... Good luck to everyone this month and I am looking forward to Band-Land!! Stephanie

I'm new to this forum and will be getting my band on Sept 4 with Dr Ortiz.. about 2 weeks ago I had a sinus infection and now I have a cold or really really really bad allergy ... Anyways.. Anyone know of having to delay getting the band because of a cold?? Thanks! Stephanie

I suposed I should call them even though I am feeling soooo much better now that that cold front finally blew thru!!! Major weather changes always throw my allergies in a loop...

my pcp gave me antibiotics for the infection but I think it might be a really bad allergy attack.. Benadryl seems to be helping a lot... I really dont want to reschedule though.. The plane tickets are non refundable.. LOL
