  1. Thanks guys y'all have some fab advice. I have coffee even more than tea. lol. I only drink 1%milk, 100% real not from concentrate orange or apple juice, crystal light and soda. I hate everything else. I have very limited liking when it comes to liquids. Before my husband got a second job i used to go walking in the evening. But three of my friends moved (military so it happens). I still cook every meal for my family so its not really convenient to eat weight watcher I just thought it would help keep calories down. Since supposedly cooking is higher in calories than eating the frozen dinners. I got a George foreman grill for Christmas and I love it. makes turkey bacon perfectly. And fantastic steaks. I can't really eat grain of any kind. No bread, no rice, its sucks. but it feels like I cant breath every time I take a bite of one. they only exception seems to be Pasta. I did go out walking yesterday and my husband said if I want to I can bring the girls to the base in between his jobs so I can go to the gym. so I guess I got no excuse now I just got to do it. Thanks so much for the advice everyone. I think maybe I just got discouraged because this is so much harder than I thought it would be. All the people I talked to before hand told me how easy it was for them I don't understand why its so hard for me. And most of them lost it so quickly and i struggle so much. Thanks again everyone.
  2. I got banded 9/28/09 I lost 30 pounds right away with no problem....then nothing. I have had two fills and nothing. I had to stop exercising for time reasons. Is it not possible to loose weight if I don't exercise? I am not gaining weight, but I am not loosing it either. I have another 90lbs to go any advice. Oh and I cannot shake that last coke of the day habit. but I do measure my food I only eat 4oz of food 3x a day and one snack. I mostly eat a what equals about a half a smart one twice a day to keep my calories below 1000 a day. What am I doing wrong? BTW I have tried all the frozen diet meals I have found that the smart ones by weight watcher taste the best by far other than needing a little seasoning they taste good to me and I am very picky about taste.
  3. Thanks for the links minxz. Tea is nasty!! I am just going to try and stop again. I do drink crystal light so its just a matter of the whole caffeine thing. I don't know why I never thought of taking something for the headaches. Seems pretty obvious.
  4. Thanks for the advice I will try to see what I can do about the soda I have tried to stop before but once I get the headaches I normally give in....i am weak in that area. Time is problem because I home school my youngest I am preparing for my GRE's, in my senior year of college and have a daughter in ballet, tap, gymnastics, girlscouts, and karate. I am up from 6 am to midnight, but maybe I can stay up an hour later and take a nap or something...I don't know I guess I have to find a place for exercise. Nope nevermind not guess I can do it I just have to change things around. I normally get done with things by the time the girls are ready for bed so I should just shift something after they go to bed other than just homework so i can go walking and not use the kids are in bed excuse. nutrion wise that was the whole reason I changed to weight watcher foods. Before that I had a half cup of eggs and turkey bacon for bfast, tuna sandwhich or bruchetta on a half slice of toast for lunch and whatever I cooked for dinner. I have PCOS but what does that have to do with weight loss? I use spark people it normally tells me to eat more food. but I ignore that part.
  5. Well there are good healthy options on food network if you are going to watch. Other than that just start small. I am a naturally active person, but I know for many just getting started is a problem. Just make it a habit. Maybe just start by walking around the block then slowly increase. Also, try doing fun things with friends like going swimming, ice skating, roller skating, playing frisbee, just whatever you like doing. Good Luck.

    Well I will not be on puree until week 2 but my dietician said these foods are good, baby food (not sure I am going to try that one!!), mashed potatos, sugar free fudgesicles, light yougurt (strain out fruit pieces), applesauce, sugar free pudding, fat free refried beans with low fat cheese pureed, pureed tuna, low fat cottage cheese (blended), blended rice or pasta, low fat frozen yougurt or ice cream (no nuts). They also said you can make casseroles and blend them as well. Hope this helps. Just try not to overdo the carbs. I probably would not do more than one carb type dish per day.
  8. Today I saw my doctor and got on full fluids and a b-12 shot. I feel like a whole new person. Not my normal active self but so much better. I have been feel so tired and hungry. I would get dizzy if I had to stand for more than 10 min. I was miserable. I hate the clear liquids portion of the diet. Today though I have had a total of about 6 oz of tomato soup and it was fantastic. Don't get me wrong I would kill for a greek salad, or spanakopita or some shrimp scampi...ok nevermind you get the point. But I finally have the energy to get around and do some of my house work. I don't feel like a lump on a log.
  9. I got my lapband on 9/28 I am so very hungry!!!!! I have had nothing but crystal light since the surgery. So far beginning with my pre-op diet I have lost 30lbs. But on the down side I am very tired and have no energy. This is hard for me a normally very active person. I can barely stand for more than 10 minutes. I am hoping at my visit on Tuesday my doc will let me go to full liquids. I got my cream and tomato soups all ready!! It makes it harder having to cook 3 meals a day for my family, but it will be ok. This part cannot last too much longer.
  10. I know my doctor asked me if I had bad gas pain and if I felt them in my shoulder. She told me if I did to call the doctors office and they would give a script to take care of it. You might want to call your doctor and see if they can do the same for you.

    Oh so HUNGRY!!

    Mist I am allowed tea but I don't drink tea. I have a very sensitive belly when it comes to taste. If it tastes bad to me I can't keep it down. Which when regular food are avalible is not really an issue I love fruits, veggies, meat, soups, cheeses...ok making my self hungry again. Kiz no Protein drinks yet and my doc discourages them because of calorie counts. Of course I have no idea how much calories are in them cause I have never tried one. mammy Oh how I wish I could be u. I would kill for some potatoes or grits...or ice cream you are way too lucky!!
