Well right now I am just about a week post surgery. I don't have too much to say except the hospital I went to was not the best, but not the worst either. They seemed to disagree allot with each other. For example after my surgery the cna told me at about 3 am that I was supposed not supposed to have any liquids after midnight. Then a few hours later the next shift RN told me that I was not having a x-ray so I did not need to stop drinking water or ice. Then the another doctor from my doctors team came in and asked when if I had gone already. She told me I was supposed to have one. Then a few minutes later she came back and said the nurse was right I was not having one. It also did not help me any when before the surgery they have you drink that think white stuff and take shots of you swallowing. Well I could not hold it down I kept throwing it up. So they called my doctor who was in my opinion slightly rude and made a fuss at me telling me that I had to do the x-ray or he was cancelling my surgery as if I could do anything about it. Finally they figured out if they mixed it will hot chocolate mix I could keep it down. My surgery itself seems to have gone good. I have not been feeling too well since then but I think it will change when I get to have full liquids. Right now I am still on sugar free low sodium clear liquids. I was fine about day two then I started getting very weak I have a hard time getting up and have a head ache. I have also been nauseated since the surgery. But I just try to keep reminding myself that it is going to be all worth it in the end. They surgery itself seems to have gone well I feel like I am healing well and I did not wake up so that is good! Since they put me on the pre-op diet I have lost 30 lbs so I think it is going well, but I do have to admit I thought it would come off much slower. I thought a couple pounds a week at most.
