Oh geez. I'm so glad you explained all that. I've been wondering for the longest time why your signature line had reference to the Flying Spaghetti Monster. I knew it had something to do with religion but I couldn't find the reference to prove it. Thank goodness that you have revealed the REAL TRUTH about how humans came into being. And you can prove it! That's the best part! I hope you are still fortunate enough to find some unsuspecting souls to jump in and debate this subject with you, because you have so much proof! This is gonna be fun to watch. I just hope that no one accuses you of attacking them through the use of freshly slung spaghetti sauce.

mellove: Thank God we are doing some good in those countries. Your story is like many I've heard from our service personnel who have been there, as well as news reports from various embedded journalists. The media doesn't just report the bad stuff, but having been there, you may be more sensitive to the bad stuff. I don't think that anyone protests the good things that we are doing in Afghanistan or Iraq. I think we all wish that we could do even more for them. I haven't read any posts here or talked with anyone who feels that we shouldn't have gone into Afghanistan. Iraq, like you said, is a completely different story. Americans have a right to feel disappointment and outrage at the war in Iraq and what it has done to this country and many, many Americans.

Valgal: I think that there might also be something to varying the patterns of what we're eating from time to time. I've heard so many people say they weren't losing and then tried a different approach and started losing again. It must feel great to get to a point of feeling confident that you can continue to do something that is working for you. I'm not there quite yet. I was after my second fill, for a while, but it changed for me. I will admit that at some point I weakened and started eating simple carbs. I know they're like a drug for me. Well ladies, what you're posting is interesting to a lot of folks I guess. I didn't mean to chastise you, but I had been told to keep it short on more than one occasion at LBT.

The only way you can run for president is if you are a natural- born American citizen. On the bright side, if Osama isn't a citizen of this country by virtue of his birth, the Republicans have been wanting to change that law so maybe they will and he can run whether he's a naturalized or native-born American.

Ohmigosh, is that really true? He's son of Saddam Hussein? I hadn't heard that yet. But let's face it, where else would he get a name like that? They HAVE to be related. How could he possibly run for the office of the president of the United States of America with a name like that? Or with a family like that? He should be brought before a tribunal. Like in the case of Clinton!

You know this is actually getting funny, don't you? Is there a contest to see who can do the longest post? Somebody told me that being concise is a virtue here. Maybe they were just talking about me.

Is it just me or are some of you feeling frightened by this administration and its' right wing supporters? Where are they really taking us with all this? I'm beginning to wonder if what they are doing to this country isn't just as scary as what Muslim terrorists are currently doing.

gadgetlady: I appreciate your apology for heating up the room again. I don't know why it does have to get so heated, why we think we must use such hateful terms when we are discussing religion. It flies in the face of everything we hold dear. Most of us have been guilty of it on this thread. We should all stand up, walk away from our computer and take a deep breath when we are outraged by something someone said. I've learned my lesson. I hope you have too. God Bless!

Gosh gadgetlady you must be talking about ME? I will very respectfully have to ask you not to characterize anything that I have said on this thread as a rape of any kind. None of the other posts should be characterized in that way either. Rape is brutal, cruel, painful and illegal. How can you have been raped on a website? Do you know anyone who has actually been raped? I am sincerely amazed that you would use thaat verbage and refer to some of us other bandsters as "rapists". I am sorry that you felt that Ron was unfairly attacked here and that he is completely innocent of committing any personal attacks himself. Many of us do not believe that Ron was as innocent as you do. Perhaps since you are thrilled by his message and endorse the way he went about communicating here, you were not being objective when you read all of the posts. Whatever the case, I would really appreciate your not inflaming the situation just when we had reached the point of settling into a nice friendly debate.

Green is not the first to reprimand me for my self-deprecating ways. When I'm 135 lbs. I'm going to kick some serious booty. LOL Isn't that just like a fatty... blaming everything on their weight. I jest. I can take care of myself. The reason I backed down from a silly fight is because there were obviously so many who were completely put off by my posts. I still believe that others posted more in the personal attack column than I did.

gadgetlady: TommyO has a good point for most of us here and presented it in a very entertaining way. We will believe whatever we believe. He was just offering up a viewpoint. I believe that what he was trying to convey is that we can all argue here until the cows come home. If scientists and theologians who have spent their lives trying to prove or disprove the theories of creationism and evolution cannot agree how human beings were created, nobody here is going to resolve it for us. For you to say it is "ridiculous" and behave as if he is a scientist or theologian with an incorrect theory, is ridiculous.

ladydi: I sure hope you're right!! Obama has made such a strong stand right here in the beginning, don't be surprised if one of the conventional Demos who has paid his (or her) dues first, gets the nomination for VP. Of course if Hillary is nominated, she's going to have a strong hand in who is on the VP ticket. That's the conventional way on both sides. Has anyone heard Hillary say anything revealing about how she perceives Obama, or any info on Obama's feelings about Hillary?
