    My Christmas Message

Green, I'm here for you honey.
  2. O...M...G!!! Is food supposed to be pink, peaked & fluffy?? With olives? Obviously that Flying Jacob stuff has no relation to the Flying Spagetti Monster. Even though Flying Jacob sounds monsterous! Poor Wheetsin. I'm with Green. The Queen of Garlic. I had the most impressive side dish last night, to my cedar plank salmon. Not all that unusual, but perfectly prepared: baby spinach sauteed until just tender crisp, in olive oil and tons of garlic. Now that's what I'm talking about.

Ron: I won't dignify your accusations with a denial. I see that the sense of civility that was achieved here has flown right out the window. You're a fool and a sad little man. Are you happy now?

lisa25: Wow. Double wow! I wonder what they had for lunch. I won't be having what they're having.

Cool OU. I won't worry about your waistline. I have to confess that I had lunch at my computer. Do not ask me what I had. I'll never confess. It's something that I brought home after getting a haircut. Yeah. Fast food. I'm thinking of a Green word. Putz. Not sure what it means but feels appropriate. I agree that things got way out of hand here. Amazing how one person's input can be so harmful. I have thought from the begining that it was by design. You were wise not to add fuel to the fire. Me, not so much.
  7. TOM: It appears that you have keen powers of observation. Or not.

Well nobody else was worrying about typos. Were they? Some of them were pretty amazing and gleaning the true meaning was difficult.

Well if it takes this long, they're eating too much. :hungry: :help:

    Anti-Semitism In France!

Wheetsin: I don't appreciate anyone saying that something is absolutely true when everyone knows they have an agenda when saying it. I must also add that I think you've done a very commendable job of moderating here. Where is everybody? Did someone start a new thread where they can go to feel all warm and fuzzy together?

    My Christmas Message

TBSue: You did awesome as well. I had a feeling you were holding back a little. I have too. I didn't at first because I was so angry, but then I realized that I was the one everyone was loving to hate. Changed my tune and now I'm having more fun.
  12. My MIL doesn't cook. All of her children are thin. My DM cooked up a storm and meals were the centerpiece of our family life. Which included dessert, of course. My MIL doesn't believe in Desserts. I am the token fat lady in the ILs family. Not that they wanted one, mind you.

lisa25: Thank you dahling. I'm quite fond of you as well as Tom. Carlene would have fun here. Did everyone read Green's little "essay" on how this type of discussion benefits those who participate, whether they come to an agreement or not? I think we've come a long way from the beginning premise of this thread and I for one, have learned a few things while I've participated. I hope everyone else has a good feeling about their involvement here.
  14. I find Ms. Rice to be every bit as abrasive as Ms. Clinton. Even more harsh because of her stance on the war. But then, I guess she's just doing as she's told. Knowing that though doesn't make me want to vote for her.
  15. And I thought I was spun up today.

TOM: Well yes. Think we should start a new thread on that topic?

    My Christmas Message

TOM: That other is all your fault. You gave me the strength. Green: You did very well on your own! I loved your post about the value of R & R at LBT. And participating is a valuable learning experience for me too. Even if I take some lumps from time to time.

    Anti-Semitism In France!

TOM: The thing is, until I choose to tell you what I mean, you can't PROVE what I mean, one way or the other, now can you? You can't even prove that it was BJean that was writing it. It might be BJean's DH telling you that BJean loves you. BJean's DH might have chosen to develop a ministry on BJean's behalf, to gather more adoration for BJean since he thinks that is what BJean wants and he loves BJean so much. He knows that making BJean happy is very important because if BJean isn't happy, she can make DH's life a living h----.

lethea_g: I did not suggest anything about what can or cannot be discussed here. You are misinterpreting the meaning of the words that I've written. gadgetlady has been having one heck of a time getting anyone to respond to one specific question that she's been repeatedly asking. If she would really like everyone to focus on that question, perhaps she would have better luck starting a thread about it, being very specific and direct in her verbage. I have my hands full with the questions I have chosen to address here. I'm not interested in answering her question. Obviously there are some others who feel the same way. But it doesn't mean that there are no people willing to answer the question and expend the energy to discuss it with her.

Tom: Tina has nothing to worry about. You are obviously devoted to her. Good man! And then there's the thing that I didn't mean it in quite the literal sense that you may have interpreted it. But then again....... these are always nice.

    Anti-Semitism In France!

Well said, TOM. And why do some believers have this all-or-nothing approach? Why do they have the NEED to believe that the Bible is literal, proves itself from within its' text, and that anyone who doesn't grasp that concept is reading and interpreting it ALL WRONG? Why don't they understand that since others do not believe in their truth, they will never believe that the Bible is literal and that the proof that they insist is proof, is nothing of the sort? Some people have a quick grasp of Algebra, others can never get it. Some people who are good at Algebra don't get Geometry. Is that so difficult to understand? Our minds works differently. Our little synapses aren't all wired the same way. C'est la vie. Can't we all just get along? Can't we all live in peace and allow that we have different needs and comfort zones? Belief in God is such a personal thing, it is not something you can legislate, even though there are some folks here who would like to. Well I guess it actually would be possible to legislate it, but how would that make us any better than the people who threw stones at Jesus?
  25. Oh. I thought it had to do with eating kittens for breakfast. Thank the Flying Spagetti Monster that we have Green here to keep us all on the straight and narrow. (I'm a dog person. Cat dander *ah-choo* doncha know)
